Any hotels within late-night walking distance of the webster? I don\'t seem to remember there being any, it\'s kind of on the outskirts, if I remember correctly

Def do not want to walk very far from the Webster. There are hotels down by 91, right near the exit for the Webster. Safest thing would be to cab it from/ to the hotey.

The neighborhood must have changed a lot since I grew up around there. The southend of Hartford was nothing compared to the north end off 91 near where the Meadows is now. Thats where all the real crazy shit went down.

The southend was where all the great Italian restaurants were.

The Webster isn\'t in that bad of an area, but I still wouldn\'t want to walk too far from it.  The hotel down by the Airport(name??) has always been fun to rage.  I wonder if they will get to play until 3 like at Toad\'s???  Since it is on a weekend the norm would be 2 but since it is NYE...who knows???

Oh well i will be on my way into a 2nd NYE show as the Webster is getting out...damn this is gonna be CrAzY!

i really hope i\'m wrong....

but i get the feeling this show is gonna be a doozie (obviously not a 15-person doozie, but a doozie by webster standards)...

again, i really hope i\'m wrong, and i\'ll be there doing my part..

We did forward The Webster a lot of your comments on the security, and they claim to have made some changes starting with the DSO concert last night.  They were receptive the the feedback however.

They are also running a quarter page print in the Hartford Advocate, and some radio, so it might be better than expected.

<<<<<<<<<< will be dragging p33ps from boston and hopefully stragglers from Philly
although many a doozies I have been witness to, have been musically/spiritually serene, on an occasion such as NYE it is something I couold do without.. we all know the madness that is capable when they play to a packed bar room- think of the possibilities of a packed webster
Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

just gotta go out and promote

The problem IMO isn\'t securit but rather the sound quality. Security can be tough but they are just doing there job most of the time. I have never really been bother by them. It is so tough to hear the band well in the theater, which is probably due to the empty cave that it usually is. Like, Bezerker\'s first post in this thread, we need people and lots of them. We will also be dealing with a lot of people who do not want to be working that night, so it may cause a little hassle but whatever. This show will probably be comparable to the Halloween show in attendance, hope for the better which would be over 500, but it is tough when there are so many bands that are at a high level in attendance and fanbase playing in NYC. Either way, it is sure to be a blast of ye ol\' good time.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.
