Just in case anyone\'s interested, Michael Kang (mandolin player for String Cheese Incident) sat in for a few tunes at the BP show this past weekend at the Bowery Ballroom. He also played with the opening act, forget the name off hand, sorry. Mark Brownstein (disco biscuites bassist) was lurking throughout the audience and i thought he might grace a stage for a few as well, but that didn\'t happen.
all in all, a great time. the band screwed up a few transitions, but the audience was very forgiving and kept dancing, almost offering encouragement to the band to find another groove and go with it. such a great vibe. everyone was getting down pretty hard. the band played from about 11:30 to 2:00 with a short intermission that was just the right amount of time to step outside for a quick smoke. when the lights came on at the end of the night, no one wanted to leave. the energy was still soaring. good to see this band really scoring in nyc. they deserve it.
of course, i can\'t wait for the day that the bfast is rippin\' up the bowery like this.
