what format did you download? mp3 or FLAC/SHN?
I am only asking since if it is in iTunes then it has to be mp3 or WAV/AIFF that you have already decompressed. If it is WAV/AIFF then burn when ready, if it is mp3 then download the lossless version before you burn to disk.
To convert from FLAC/SHN to WAV/AIFF use xAct if you are on a mac.

What is the difference between 64KbpsMP3 and VBR MP3? I generally download VBR MP3 files on Archive, though I have no idea If that is a good choice.
Simple summary from what I know:
64K MP3 = VERY lossy format - generally only suitable for putting in a cheap Mp3 player small hard disc, or for sampling a show to see if it\'s worth downloading
VBR = Variable Bit Rate MP3 - way better than 64K. Generally speaking, the mp3 is encoded according to what is needed so less data is used for parts of the track with less information eg silences. Fine for i-pods, mp3 CDs, etc or for burning a disc which you will only listen to in the average car stereo.
FLAC/SHN = only format worth downloading to get the full sonic experience!!! Files are compressed in such a way that none of the original signal is lost. This is the only format to use for burning discs you trade or want to give to friends!
Try burning a CD-RW (you\'ll want to get rid of it afterwards) with the same track burned using the three formats. Listen to the disc on a decent stereo and you will notice the difference.
