MIAB is a good song but there is really no variance in what they do to it...they all sound the same, so I can see people getting tired of it.  This is another reason why they should play "Kings", by Steely Dan.  It is perfect for Ron\'s voice and there is a middle section with a guitar solo that TPalms could go of on.  It has many layers and with the solo section they could veer off into new waters with every version.  I vote "Kings".

no mention of the fact that Space City Affair has shown up as Friday night\'s opener and then as the beginning of Saturday\'s encore....the past two nights look fuckin purrrty on paper yo- def. wish I could have stayed on the ride after thursday\'s madness..... ahhh just moment\'s away from Harper\'s... to think that I  am prolly missing the last pOrter\'s show somewhat brings a tear to my eye...
Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

I love Kings (and the entire album "Can\'t Buy a Thrill" for that matter).  I would love to hear more Steely covers if I had to pick a single band.  "Aja" performed by Tim solo isn\'t enough.  Anyone remember the smoking "My Old School" performed at the Equipment Relief Benefit show 4 years ago?

we were all pretty exhausted at this show, but what a fun time!

the student union building that the undergrounds was in is incredible! arcade with ~20 games, an 8-lane bowling alley, pool hall with ~10 pool tables, 4 ping pong tables in another room, etc.. the pre-show bowling was a blast, and according to adrian, was one of their coolest perks ever. :D

the undergrounds was a pretty cool room, though there were couches and chairs everywhere.. there were about 110 people in the room at its fullest.. decent show overall, but defintiely a cool atmosphere..

thanks to ellis-d and his mom for having us over in the afternoon. the food really hit the spot. the frisbee game was pretty intense. throwing a 3 oz frisbee on a 20º sloped hill was a huge challenge. it took a lot of trial and error to get the uphill throw figured out, but the frisbee was so light that it made it easy to catch and do combos pretty well. anyone can throw a real frisbee on level ground, but i thought this was a lot more fun.

undergrounds was cool. the best part was the free bowling down the hall from where the band was playing! I havent bowled in at least 12 years,  but i was doing pretty well by the end and i won the last game after getting a turkey and a couple spares. i was pretty much dead by the time the band went on. i only got a couple hours of real sleep at the hotel the night before. after frisbee at ellis-d\'s mom\'s place and bowling before the show i was dunzo. i had to take a nap from no glove thru sir psycho in the second set, but i got the sleep i need to keep me going  from that point on. Holly, thanks for waking me up just before buquebus. i was wide awake once i heard the first few notes. i would not have been happy at all if i found out i slept thru a buquebus.

thanks to everyone who was looking out for me this weekend. especially holly, elisa, stephengencs, and todd. without you guys i would probably be either dead, stranded somewhere upstate, in jail, or even worse...at home all weekend missing out on the fun. This may not have been the best run ever musically, but it was the most fun i have had on a breakfast run in a long time. i hated to see it end, but its nice to be back home again. my own bed has never felt as comfortable as it did last night.

... we had to pull off the highway really fast cause fitz was about to pee in my car and didn\'t even make it into the gas station in time.

So did he just run behind the building/tree/bush, or was there a need for a change of pants????

no need for a change of pants, but it came dangerously close. todd and manhandler did not understand the serness of the whole situation when they started rambling on about waterfalls and making sound effects. normally that sort of thing doesnt effect me, but this time it was hilarious and i couldnt help but to laugh.

the flood gates were open and i felt like i had just stopped mid piss. i had to use every muscle in my body hold it in and all of my concentration to and tune them out to keep myself from laughing again because that made the warning clock tick twice as fast. i lost my concentration when i gave the 15 second warning, so i had to start banging the door and windows as hard as i could to tune them out. i hope i didnt break anything in hollys car, but if i did its still better than it smelling like piss forever.

i jumped out of the car as it was still moving and ran into the front yard of the house next door. it was either that or behind the gas pump were people were pumping gas. i made it with a nanosecond to spare. :holyshit:

Ohhhh..... we TOTALLY understood!!!! That\'s what made it sooooooo funny!!!! All you had to do, really, was not agree with us about how bad it was compared to the NY Grayson treatment and we probably wouldn\'t have thought that it would be as much fun. You failed yourself....GUY!!!! Just think....your bladder muscles are stronger now, because of the experience!!

Was this show recorded? I would love to hear the encore with the Les Paul.

Fitzy was there as well as Peck...so I would say that there is a really good chance that it was recorded...
