Between the rise in popularity of Seanaldo as a Breakfast/Timmy guest, and my recent purchase of "The Pizza Tapes", I\'ve been on a bit of a mandolin kick.  Any recommendations other than David Grisman as far as good mando artists/albums?
Go see your Breakfast, there are starving Leiths in California

Jef Austin from Yonder Mountain is one of, if not the best mando players out there right now.  From soulful renditions of Dead tunes to all out crazy strummin\' bluegrass, this guy is where it\'s at...and he is sssooooooo young.  Check out YMSB and his duo stuff, both on Archive.org.

grab a pen...

1. Chris Thiele from Nickel Creek
2. Definitely Sam Bush
3. Jesse McReynolds (only mandolinist to ever record w/the Doors)
4. Frank Wakefield
5. and, old school bluegrass legend Bill Monroe

try those on.
After speaking with you, I\'ve realized how much dumber I\'ve become.

gotta reiterate Sean = Bill Monroe, he made it popular and everyone else has been copying him ever since.
