Leith, it\'s your money.  If you want to give it to The Breakfast for gas money, go ahead.  I\'m just glad they wouldn\'t take it.

So the Dead was not meant to be? It is a KNOWN fact that due to the kindness of a fairly rich(due to selling ***) crazy guy into Sound named Owsley"Bear" Stanley that supported the band financially and buying them sound gear, the Dead were able to survive. If I were rich I would do the same. I guess they would just turn it away and keep struggling along. Yeah great for the fans. pffft.

That\'s not what they thought. Every one of the members of the original GD has said(at one time or another) that if Bear had not been there, GD would not have been what it became. He basically assured they had a roof over their head, food, drugs, and gear. Things they could not afford for themselves.
They were so grateful they dedicated an album to him Bear\'s Picks which was exactly that his picks.
I\'m not saying The Breakfast is in such dire straits as that but the nature of this thread lies in my belief that just like the Dead, The Breakfast could use a break.
I guess no one else thinks so. So I\'ll go along w/ the "make your own luck" beliefs here. We\'ll see how that plays out in a few years.

ok,im pretty sure the main reason they havent hit the road really is because on 6/10 they totaled their tourvan.thatll hurt a potential tour.i have seen the master gig list, and theres some shit going on.honestly,if everyone just keeps doing what theve been doing, itll be more of a help for the band than sending them a few hundred bucks and a slap in the face..
take the E to the A to the D...you\'ll be all set

Yeah ok. I told Wolf I would let it lie. So now that you\'ve chipped in I\'m done. If I ever hit the lottery remind me not to throw any cash your way. ;)

Actually it was in a PM so I\'ll just say here. WhOOOPSSS Sorry. Don\'t mind me I just care TOO much for the band. I\'ll watch out for that in the future. I\'ll make sure to only buy merch and my ticket in. Seeing as I have paid for every gig even the ones they put me on the guest list for or did lights for them I may as well keep doing that at least.

i think there\'s tons of truth in this here post.  the master gig list consists of shows in states everywhere in the country, all before new year\'s.  hopefully everything works out and they get their break by busting out to the right people.  dont get me wrong leith, i think it\'s great you\'re trying to help the band, but i think we already do enough for them as it is.....like driving 4 hours everytime you see them or flying all the way across the country to see/ support  them, we do enough
