some thoughts that have arrived in from last night....
getting to the show midway into No Quarter (thanks to timmytour>latenight from wednesday) all I wamted to hear was, "were gonna take a setbreak, we\'ll be right back"
The GBFBITS jam was one of the most musically tasty jams from this band. it was an amazing blend of beauty and power from all the bandmembers. this song will eventually posses the best jam this band has ever played.
I was mentioning to the princess on the way to the show that I felt that the Breakfast just doesn\'t take many risks on stage, well not as many anymore as in years past. And as Dave had mentioned, the entire second set should be considered a huge risk taken and pulled off with flying colors. It was easy to see that the band was feeding off of our energy, and they were giving it right back to us in the form of some of the best playing from them ever. Kudos to Adrian for coming up with that setlist, and even bigger kudos to the band for just going right for it....
After getting the inverted Scheme sandwich, See the Light was the last song I would have expected. The place went absolutly nuts.
I could hear the Beef Barley coming out of the shakedown jam, but just couldnt believe it. It was like the collective subconscious of the entire room just willed it to be....
Not to give Johnny Upstate an even bigger head, but what he was doing with the lights last night was amazing.....
The Wheelhouse definitely has a new look to it. The did a great job converting the side room into a perfect venue for bands to come in. The house lights and Ellis\' were a fantastic mix....
Watching 2 locals almost entirely mummify this drunk chick with ducktape as the band was breaking down after the show had me in stitches. Oh and there are pics of this....
MANLOVE! Not in a gay way...but just having such a good time with everyone!!!!
Latenight w/ Elisa, Todd, and Timmy.. "GOOD...AND YOU?"
ugh ugh ugh.....
