that would be a certain someones birthday show....may ahve to make it down for that one..

Well hey, Happy early birthday!  This\'ll be my first show since Porters. Can I survive that long without the Breakfast?  I\'ll just have to listen to the Puppet House over and over and over and over and over...................................

we were supposed to be opening for TB when the show was at the ace but the lions den wouldn\'t invite us back because we didnt draw enough people last time.

I imagine your audience consists of a lot of Breakfast fans so the list at the door does not refelect the true number of people that watched your set and bought drinks.
I am looking forward to catching your band this time.

The show was booked because at the time my good friend John Bell....who used to book Widespread, was booking the room.  He also helped us get the bands name in front of Entourage and Crescendo, who we ended up going with.  The room is 21 and over, so we decided to go back to the Lion\'s Den, who really like the band and made a good offer.
Bell left Ace of Clubs, so we had no real incentive to keep the date.  There will be new NY venues soon, however, although we hope to bump up from places like Tribeca.

There are two John Bells....the front guy, and the guy who really helped build the band when they were booked by Entourage about 5 years ago.

Bell left the agency and got married...which lasted....well.....it didn\'t, and he came back to the industry.  His word is really well respected, which is why I was happy when he picked up the phone top recommed the band to some good agencies.

By the way, we agree about The Knit.  Krassner was tight with howie schnee at lion\'s Den...so he always wanted to go to Shnee\'s place.  Alex and I both feel the band would grow more at the Knit.  We are working on this now.

You guys officially now know more about the band\'s business history than, well, the band.....lol

This is great news!
1 year anniversary for the Knitting Factory Turkey Tour show is coming up. That would be a great occasion for their return (if you can\'t get them in there earlier:wink:).

she goes to school at smith college, so she\'ll be seeing them at the iron horse whenever their there and hopefully she\'ll travel to shows too.  she was certainly blown away by the band and could NOT get over the whole pete and pete thing.
