half the memories i have i being a kid probably never even happend.

:P

you should all know that I am asleep, its summer 1992 and all of this has been a dream of mine... and quite a long detailed one I should point out. None of you exsist in the real world, as I have not met any of you yet (if you do in fact exsist in the real world).

Keep in mind that I will forget 99% of my dream as soon as I wake up next time your wondering what history will think of your contributions to society.

damn, that would be a trip...

does anyone ever have reoccuring dreams, I mean throughout your life? I have this one dream I\'ve been having since I was 5. It\'s less frequent these days, but every time I have it, I\'m 5, all the people I knew and grew up with are still 5/6 years old, and even though I know time has passed, I never question the age of everyone. I love that dream. Its like opening up a good book you had as a child and haven\'t read in years. You know everything that happens in it, but you still are mesmorized to read it again and again like its the first time, every time. I wish more things in life were like that.

dreams are crazy. I have vivid ones almost every night. There lots of things you can do to wake up in your dreams and actually control them. Its not as hard as you might think and really does happen all the time.

This may be your key to lucid dreaming. YOu can use reocurring dreams as a key to wake up inside your dream. The first time I ever "woke up" in a dream was during a reocurring dream that I was back in highschool. I dreaming but still conscious enough to know that I wasnt in HS anymore and that triggered me to say in my dream "I\'m dreaming right now! This is a dream!".

You could probly do the same if you train yourself to be more aware in dreams and recognize dreams about being 5 as your signal to wake up inside the dream. It does take practice. The first few times u realize you are dreaming you wake up a few seconds later because u get so excited that u just did it and you can do whatever u want. hehe

anyway Just something to think about ;)

been to that point, never been able to stay asleep though. The funny thing is, the older I get, the less frequently I have that dream. As a kid, it was several times a month, now its once or twice a year, but I still enjoy it when I have it.

When I was working in Boston and commuting 60 miles each way (usually wasting about 4 hours of each day), I often slept only 5-6 hours a night.  I was usually so tired at night that I never remembered any dreams.  I usually only remember the dreams on the nights that I get a full sleep, maybe due to having more time to dream.  It seems that the more desperate I am for sleep, the less I remember from dreams.

probably just because you arent as tired when you wake up and you remember the very last dream you had because you wake right up right after it.

its because you get to complete the full cycle of sleeping that the body intends on getting.  when you interupt it by not getting enough sleep your brain doesnt get to fully process all that dream info.

when i have more time to sleep i tend to only remember key objects and settings from dreams, but when i only have a few hours and i have to wake up right away i usually remember every single detail.

The dreams I\'ve had the last two years (since I did study abroad in France) are all in French. Even non-French speaking friends I recognize in the dream speak French. It\'s weird - 3 dreams or so a year, and it\'s all foreign.
