^^ Maybe that is it, but the one that I was at is like a right out of the venure and then another right and then across the street...anyway we RaGeD!! that place and never got even a warning.  I was WASTED and they didn\'t even bat an eye...well you get the picture.

Although I am STILL unclear as to exactly what this entails.

i lived in troy for 5 years.

franklin square is the closest, it used to be a super 8, it\'s about 3 blocks away.

the rensselaer inn is a little further, but it might be cheaper.  i\'d go with franklin square.

that\'s it for hotels in downtown troy.  don\'t go ANYWHERE north of rev hall unless you are looking for crack.

try the cherry raspberry ale, VERY yummy.  the food at the brewing company (that they are connected to) is so-so.  beer is great.  

there\'s an awesome pizza place on 4th and state called i *heart* ny pizza, and it will be open until 4:30-5am after the show for late night munchies, it\'s like $1-2 for a slice and a soda.

if the show is over early, you can all head over to a bar called the ruck on 3rd and state (about 4-5 blcoks from the hotel, it\'s safe, all college kids go there), bars are open til 4-4:30am there.

also, troy is a giant mess of one way streets so be careful when driving around.

yea i think the last show i saw u at (aside from gnu groove) was boston in january that is WEAK my friend.

Postom is right dont walk in the opposite direction of the river. I made that mistake when i saw the biscuits there first time at rev hall. we went for beer and my friend had a blue bandana on and we almost got killed by some cryps

up the hill from the river (eastwards away from the hudson river) on the rev hall side of sage ave(college? i forget, whatever the main street that goes up the hill from the green island bridge) is not somewhere you want to walk around.

make a right turn out of the venue (you\'re going south along the river) and cross the main street where the bridge is from and go past the franklin suites, find 4th street and you should find bars and the pizza places a few blocks down.  there are also decent bars on river street but i have no idea if they are still open anymore.  there ain\'t nothin but crack and car dealerships and porn stores on the rev hall side of troy.  that part of town is actually lansingburgh.

you\'ve got two colleges there, RPI and russell sage (all female).  sage is downtown around 2nd/3rd about 6-7 blocks from there and RPI is up the hill on 15th street.
