i guess when discussions actually go down around here, sometimes they can be misinterpretted as arguements.that,my friends, wasnt my intent.
i wanna help our favorite guitar player out.
i know alot of folks on the board wanna help our favorite guitar player out.
if i hook it up,would folks be down to help at the puppethouse shows?
in this thread, lets try to not go nuts about anything other than what im talking about.that way,it shouldnt be closed.
any othe rsuggestions would be appreciated, but as far as right now,im gonna ask ms.greenberg to hook some shit up.

I think the raffle is a good idea, and it won\'t be that hard to organize. Just make up some tickets on the computer with numbers on them or something. Get a box, have someone in the band draw the winner before encore. Should all the money go to Tim, or should half of it go to Tim, and the other half go to the general band fund?

Or maybe one night\'s raffle money goes to Tim, second night\'s money goes to the band?

If it\'s just for Tim, then maybe you guys could organize a raffle for a different prize each time he plays a Timmy Tour show. I\'m just being perfectly honest, I think the guys might not think it\'s fair if you raised money solely for him at a full-band show.

Don\'t get me wrong Freddie, I want to help him out too, really I do. I missed a dozen concerts at Deer Creek this summer because I had to save money, and I\'m still going to mail him a check for 20 bucks.

most spare money that is had at timmy solo shows ends up in the tip cup anyways, plus the turnout to those is a fraction as a full on breakfast show.  if we\'re wanting to do something substantial, we need to utilize all our resources.

Now I\'m not trying to be a total douche, but why do so many people continue to mention the perpetual lack of cash yet spend tons of money on drinks at numerous shows each week?  I do well for myself and even I prefer not to buy more than a drink or two because drinks aren\'t cheap.  If I were broke each week, I would rank the expensive alcohol from bars right out of my budget and resort to 40oz. beverages.  You can buy nearly a gallon of malt liquor for the price of a beer at a bar.

Sorry, but I hate to see so many of you guys living from nickel-to-nickel and wish you all had more in your pockets on a regular basis.

i got money in my pocket at all times, and like to throw tim 5-10 bucks every show.
and btw, usually when folks start posts like "not trying to be a total douche"or something like that,9 times outta 10 ,their intent was to be a total douche
