Good Look Josh....
Definately shaping up to be an epic day.....

Hopefully it will happen before the Family Jam, but lets break the Colavope Curse....

The Colavolpe Curse (as pointed out by ChrisF):  In the 4 shows that Fuzebox has played with their new lead guitarist Mike Colavolpe (and there is a good chance i am spelling his last name wrong), Fitzy has tried, unsuccessfully, to get a recording.  The curse is NOT just related to new Fuzebox shows, but also dates back to the Breakfast show at Porters when The Peoples Band opened downstairs.  About halfway through the Peoples Band set the power cuts out ruining the recording....also back in 2002 when Project Sipowitz opened for the Breakfast at Blues Cafe, Mike sat in with the Breakfast and Fitzy ended up losing that recording....The only Blues Cafe show that Fitzy didnt get......

Why the curse?  who knows, but its about time for it to come to an end....  so come out and send the vibes out that Fitzy (and any other tapers out there) can break this curse....Mike Colavolpe is an amazing talent, at 21 years young, he is already being credibly compared to our own Tim Palmieri....  If you haven\'t seen Mike play, especially with Fuzebox, you have no idea what you are missing.....

Thanks again Josh.....

I dont think preparedness is the issue here....Fitzy is extremely good at being prepared....We are all human and bound to make a mistake or miscalculation here or there....I just think its wierd that in the 5 or 6 times he has tried to tape a Colavolpe show, they have all had a problem...that is just very unFitzy...and I could see the frustration in his face on Saturday night when the power went out in Hamden....

the curse only applies to me. matt has some sipowitz and/or peoples band multitrack recordings that came out just fine. only i can break this curse.

dont get your hopes up, but i might be able to salvage the sidestreet show. all of my channels were saved to the hard drive, the files just werent finalized because the power went out while recording and before saving. for some reason the bass channel is readable by protools. i am going to post my problem on the protools forum and see if they can help me open these files somehow. i think all the music is there i just need a way of opening the files.

that would be much appreciated/amazing if you could salvage the recording  from Sidestreet the other night.  First set was good (Pigs)...but second set was definitly growing some legs....Albis jammin\' on sax, etc.

I feel for you chris.   I can\'t tell you how many times the power went out when I used to record at the power mill barn.  I learned to always run a separate power cord to a separate power outlet that is on a separate breaker from everyone else. BTW, this can introduce ground loop so I purchased a tripp lite isobar power strip and have never had ground loop problems caused by my gear.  I was also considering running a separate battery backup, but my rack gear is heavy enough.
