For Best and worst management what aspect do you mean? How do they run the club, or how do they treat the crowd and the band?

Thats right, the Living Room is a dump. They don\'t care about anything which is cool, but still its a shithole.

right.. if you\'re going because you\'re young and wanna get messed up, it\'s great... but you can do that in your basement..

if you\'re going there for the music, the sound is shitty, the lights blow, and the place is a filthy shithole.. :poopself:

I feel the need to explain my choice of The Living Room for "Best Venue To See A Show".  I don\'t drink or smoke, and I\'ve never been to most of the venues other people picked (Butterfield, Puppet House, Bowery Ballroom).  The best I figured two of my favorite shows (keep in mind I haven\'t been to hundreds of shows like the rest of you) were at The Living Room (05/09/2003 and 06/13/2003).  So it was on that basis that I chose The Living Room as my favorite PB venue.

And just in case, the other venues where I\'ve seen the band are:

Callahan\'s
Toad\'s Place (twice)
Common Grounds (Diesel Experiment)
Chittenden Park (twice)
Elm City Underground (Diesel Experiment)
Springdale Turn Hall (Diesel Experiment)
Funktion
Pearl Street (twice)
La Cocina

So maybe if I\'d been to Callahan\'s more often or if the nice folks at Pearl Street didn\'t throw me out into the freezing cold after a show while Chris packed up his recording gear, my answer would be different.  But for now it\'s The Living Room, and I stand by it.

By the way, I hope this didn\'t sound bitter.  I know The Living Room is a complete shithole.

I\'m not sure how to explain exactly what I meant by "management".  It\'s my opinion that you can tell who is running a class act and who has his thumb up his ass.  There are some disputes however.  For example is a venue that ends a show right on schedule a good venue or a bad venue.  Technically I suppose that shows a tight operation, but it\'s not good for us concert-goers.  I guess how you answer that is up to you.
