this is some kind of ser festival going down in vegas....  maybe a cross between jazzfest, woodstock, amsterjam, all rolled up into the only city that could possibly host something like this in this country....

You have not heard of this? It\'s EVERYWHERE on the net and has been for awhile.

Superfly is expected to announce the Vegoose Music Festival with-in the
coming weeks, to be held on the surrounding fields of Las Vegas, NV -
Oct 28-30 with a final show Oct 31 at the Sam Boyd Silver Bowl. The
festival will be similar to the Bonnaroo Music Festival which is being held
in Manchester, TN this June.
In addition to the festival performances, which will be over by seven
o\'clock each of the three days, several of the band\'s will be performing
in groups of two or three at various clubs and arenas during the
evenings of the festival. Dave Matthews Band and Trey Anastasio will play
the
Thomas and Mack Center the first two evening\'s, while moe., Umphrey\'s
McGee, Phil Lesh and Friends and others will share the stage at the MGM
Grand Garden Arena on night\'s two and three. Pearl Jam will play with
The Black Crowes on evening three at the Thomas and Mack Center, while
right down the road at the House of Blues, The John Mayer Trio will
share their Blues for fans. There will be minimal onsite camping and
minimal onsite activities, which makes this festival quite different from
the
Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

Confirmed Acts are listed below.
Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, moe., The String Cheese Incident, The
Black Crowes, Wilco, Ryan Adams, Trey Anastasio, Umphrey\'s McGee,
Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh and Friends, Mike Gordon and Leo Kottke, The
John
Mayer Trio, Gov\'t Mule, The Allman Brothers Band, 311, Keller Williams
and many more to be announced.

i dont see this event suffering from the same fate as zooma tour.......

something happens once you land and disembark from your plane.  i cannot explain it, but it is an experience and feeling like none you\'ve ever felt....  i personally think that the travelling freak show that these bands call fans, will flock like its the second coming of Christ for this...

Are u Ser? Of course I\'m going. This has been bantered about for a few months now and I know a casino host @ the Lady Luck who has comped me a room for 3 days whenever I want. Looks like I\'ll cash it in for this. I highly doubt it will be cancelled but it may not end up as originally conceived. Either way PJ in Vegas along w/ even a Phil show is enuff to get me to Sin City. Hell it\'s only a 4 hr. drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don\'t they have a monorail or something from the strip to the airport?

not that i am aware of....

the only monorail i am aware of is the Monorail Of The Damned that runs from Mandalay Bay > The Luxor > Excalbur > The Luxor > Mandalay Bay.....

Spent many a strange rides on that sucker at all times of the day/night back in April 04...

Lyle Lanley: Well, sir, there\'s nothing on earth
Like a genuine,
Bona fide,
Electrified,
Six-car
Monorail!
What\'d I say?

Ned Flanders: Monorail!

Lyle Lanley: What\'s it called?

Patty+Selma: Monorail!

Lyle Lanley: That\'s right! Monorail!

[crowd chants `Monorail\' softly and rhythmically]

Miss Hoover: I hear those things are awfully loud...

Lyle Lanley: It glides as softly as a cloud.

Apu: Is there a chance the track could bend?

Lyle Lanley: Not on your life, my Hindu friend.

Barney: What about us brain-dead slobs?

Lyle Lanley: You\'ll be given cushy jobs.

Abe: Were you sent here by the devil?

Lyle Lanley: No, good sir, I\'m on the level.

Wiggum: The ring came off my pudding can.

Lyle Lanley: Take my pen knife, my good man.

I swear it\'s Springfield\'s only choice...
Throw up your hands and raise your voice!

All: Monorail!

Lyle Lanley: What\'s it called?

All: Monorail!

Lyle Lanley: Once again...

All: Monorail!

Marge: But Main Street\'s still all cracked and broken...

Bart: Sorry, Mom, the mob has spoken!

All: Monorail!
Monorail!
Monorail!

[big finish]

Monorail!

Homer: Mono... D\'oh!
