Is it me or does g spot tornado sound like an 18 wheeler carring instruments flipped over on the highway and all the instruments fell out.......

way to post the same exact thing in two different threads. :sigh:  :sigh:  and yes it is just you.

well for one, musicaly they\'re nowhere near as tight as the breakfast, let alone any other local band ive heard. secondly, they\'re song writing is horrable, they\'re jams go nowhere, and there sound is comparable to a cow giving birth to an accordion.........in simple terms.....they suck!!!!!!!!

Considering they haven\'t been playing as long as the Breakfast, tightness shouldn\'t be that big an issue...Secondly there are people in that band that are 1. Very close to the Breakfast and this scene and 2. Friends of fans on this board; SO, knowing that you must be the FUNKIEST DRUMMER in the world I digress, but relax on the suck comments until your band goes big.  Alani and Matt are really good and when they opened for the Breakfast I know alot of people on here liked them.

yeah your right, I shouldnt say that they suck, as long as there intensions are good and they have the modivation to keep getting better, then thats all that matters..I guess Its really just my personal opinion.......I dont have anything against the guys in the band...Im just speaking from a musical standpoint....after the porters show, I went home and went on there website, thinking that mabye there studio stuff is a hell of alot better than what heard...I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt......but after hearing there studio stuff. I was dissapointed...it seamed like they didnt even try to make a descent recording.....If you listen to the breakfast\'s first show...and then compare it to there 10\'th show, there\'s so much of an improvement that its scares me.......now the guys in g spot tornado probably havent been playing that long...but being a drummer, I would try my best to become as sufficient as I can in performing a song before I just go out and perform like crap.....But again, as long as they have the right additudes about were they want to go musicaly and they eventually get there...then i have no problem giving them a listen to....Im sorry if I offended anyone who likes the band...Im not trying to say that Im the best drummer in the world..Im no better than any other drummer out there....so agian Im sorry...

G-spot tornado is a zappa song off of the "jazz from hell" album, although the "yellow shark" version is better imo. It is a very complex song that I dont think the breakfast could cover, let alone g-spot, but they still get props for being a bunch of zappa-heads.

it\'s hella nice..

You sound like all the kids out here.  The kids whose parents won\'t let them say "hella" now substitute "hecka" in it\'s place.

Personally, I like the homegrown New England adjective "Wicked" much better for descriptive emphasis.

...or the Staven adaptation, "fuckin\' nice, kid!".
