Did anyone make the trek down to this festival? If so, how was it? If not, has anyone heard anything about how it was? Outside of the Trey set, does anyone know who was hot and who was not? Does anyone really care?

Trey Bonnaroo pics here.

From what I have been reading, TLG was the breakout performance of the fest and Trey digs Bo Bice and Matisyahu. WSP Ripped it up w/ plenty of guests and Ratbob played a decent set. DMB seemed to have also played a good set that is getting good reviews.  Man It just pisses me off that The Bfast does not play this damn fest as I think they would just create a freakin\' ruckus down there.
Worrying is like praying for something you don't want.

So glad I went to Portland(no offense, i\'ve been dying to hear a Frankly Po Zest).  I was where I belonged this weekend though, and wouldn\'t have traded it in for the world though.

Great to hear tlg did well - have got to get more of their stuff, but the half dozen shows I have are excellent.

Been reading elsewhere that Joss Stone was good, but I don\'t get what the fuss is about. Someone on A-deck had the nerve to mention her in the same sentence as Janis, which is just a joke really.

Here\'s hoping the boys can make it on to the bill for 2006.

perhaps they were just talking about her performance with Melissa Etheridge for the Janis tribute at last year\'s Grammys?

No, it was definitely regarding Bonnaroo. The actual quote went :

"Joss Stone was absolutely brilliant.
I doubt another Janis could ever happen but..this may be as close as it ever gets and she is only 18...."

As for anyone doing Janis\' stuff, the only two people I have heard doing it properly are Melissa Etheridge (why didn\'t they think of doing the janis biopic earlier??) and Lisa Mills, who sang with bbhc about 5 years ago.

Call me set in my ways, but I think the same about Grace Slick\'s material - only Diana Mangano and to some extent Darby Gould can do it justice.

Perhaps some may feel Stone has some of the attitude, but I find her voice grates and she\'s not much to look at either.

Mentioned, as in:  did you see Joss Stone get buried on stage by Melissa "Crawlin\' From The Grave" Etheridge

It was really wet... pretty much rained from Friday evening all the way until Sunday.  That would have probably been enough to ruin it for me if I was in a tent... guess I\'m just too much of an old fart to deal w/ 70,000 wet, stinkin\', wooks.

Panic\'s shows looked awesome... had all kinds of guests... Bob Wier, Warren Haynes, Herbie Hancock, Col Bruce Hampton, Luther & Cody Dickenson (from North MS Allstars), and a few others.  On paper, the sets were a little disappointing due to the lack of segues (only one or two between both shows... wonder what kind of statement they were trying to make with that...???), but from what I hear, they rocked.

I was kinda hoping for a Trey / WP collaboration... the ones in the past have been ser as all hell, but I guess Trey was too cool for school... as usual.
