Its not that at all.

Led Zeppelin is holier than thou in my eyes so whenever a comp is made I cannot hold my toungue.

But PB tB are about as close as I have been able to come to that "feeling" that Zeppelin gives me (and of course thats only on recordings). Sometimes I wish PB/tB would grind it out more like a punishing \'Trampled Under Foot\' or even \'In my time of dying\'.

I think we may just get there sooner than later. The end of Eppy 3 with the heavy blues influence is a nice launching point like in \'Dazed and confused\' or \'whole lotta love (the way they did it live)\' it can kind of go anywhere,

The More Blues the better IMHO.

Oh and BAck on topic. GO TO THIS PARTY IT IS GONNA BE NUTZ

I would love to see them play the harder zeppelin but I was reffering to that "gonna cave your chest in" feeling that the really sick versions of trampled and the crunge and whole lotta love would produce. Zep didnt really do it on the studio stuff but if you listen to the live stuff they were very much punishing the audience. Even listening ot the recordings they can really wind your insides up tight and then just when you think they are gonna give you the release they wind it even tighter and then they MIGHT give you release. I have a few recordings where they just end the song and nevr give you that. tehn pick it back up maybe to give you a release in the next tune which by then you are ready to explode.

figure all that in then add the drugs that folks were on back in the day. surprised they didnt have more fans flipping over trains liekthey did in boston

that would be me.   and i got flack for it for starting it since they found out i was throwing the show.  so if anyone else wants to start a "ROLL CALL:the breakfast w/ open bar for $20" thread again this year on PT that would help.   seemed to get some folks in the doors last year.

Oh no I fully comprehend what feeling you mean. I am a HUGE Zepp fan and have a large collection of live shows(all on analog tape however). I mean I am a big big fan. I have full recall of my brother and his friends AFTER coming back from 3 Forum shows in \'77. Talk about mind meltage! LOL
