Yeah, but nothing beats a road trip, IMO. And Jeremy\'s fun...we go to Lafayette Brewing Company at least once a week so he can play open mic night, sometimes up to 3 times a week if we see other live music acts. I was going to go to Wakarusa with him, but I couldn\'t take off work. I wouldn\'t ever make a big trip like that by myself, and Jeremy would scoff at the idea of flying.

Kate, consider yourself picked up at the airport if you do end up flying in....

I don\'t doubt it...we\'re all phamily here :)

You think they\'d take a fake from Cali at Toad\'s, though?

They might...if you come with a banana, peel it, and feed it to the bouncer while he is checking it....

Or I could find an old fat guy on the street and hide myself under his cloak...

I don\'t want to fly or drive 850 miles only to be turned away from TB and get my fake ID taken. That means no TB and no more Lafayette Brewing Company (aka Purdue\'s Best Kept Campus Secret) for Kate every week.

I\'m in Indianapolis. I just looked at Mapquest:

Total Est. Time: 13 hours, 52 minutes Total Est. Distance: 844.15 miles

No can do, folks. Plus I\'m not 21 and I\'m picky about where I use my fake.

Take Friday off and do it!  I drove solo from MA to CA in 2.5 days back in 2000.

Well, I still live with my parents and there is no way they would let me do that. Simple.

That\'s why I suggested doing it during the school year...I went to Michigan for 4 days during school, and my parents still have no idea. :)

with gas prices what they are these days it would prolly be cheaper just to book a flight in advance especially if you do it solo and way quicker too obviously.

Rising fuel prices for autos also = rising fuel surcharges for air transportation.  Before moving to CA in Feb. I used to fly out here (Oakland) from Boston every few weeks and never paid more than $200 round trip.  I hear that cheap seats are at least $300 on average now.
