everytime i see this band, the experience keeps getting better and better and better....
beardslee castle was indeed no exception to this rule. i knew the 3+ hour trip filled with rainstorms and traffic jams was worth every second the instant we rolled into this venue. perfect weather, beautifully landscaped grounds full of some
powerful vibes (definitely haunted), lots of heads from an array of places, and 2 sets of the breakfast. sounds ideal to me
Cut Me Some Slack>LDZ>Cosmic was definitely the highlight of the first set for me...although Simpleton was a welcome surprise... didnt see In The Flesh comin at ALL though -- great way to kick off the night.
but nothing will top the set II opener: jam>See the Light> May Fly --- that room was full of some of the most intense energy i\'ve ever experienced at a breakfast show... at one point i remember having my hand on my head trying to comprehend what was happening on the stage in front of me. Buquebus>Food For Thought was another glorious chunk of Set II.
i ended up sleepin next to my car, still not sure how or when my tent got assembled, nonetheless i slept pretty well... it was perfect camping weather. mcajam\'s caravan set up camp next to us, they seemed in high spirits leavin for sterling stage...
beardslee castle has quickly become my most memorable breakfast experience. i had such an amazing time, i\'ve been inspired to haul to StrangeCreek after i\'m freed from the shackles of work tomorrow. i suggest you all follow suit
