It wasn\'t too good either. It was slow crap. Cover tunes and nothing really original, except for a few tunes that were written with another band in mind. There were a few snippets that I really thought he would have pulled it through but I am disappointed. I gave Trey\'s new band a sincere try and I just don\'t like it.

I am not saying that Trey didn\'t have some high points on this tour. I just am not digging this new sound. Shit, even the sun shines on the dogs ass.
Seriousily though, Trey has the potential to blow us away and I don\'t think he did on this tour on a consistent basis. I have listened to enough of the tour to make a decision and I feel that this new bad just isn\'t working. I want to see him take his time and come back refreshed and playing at his best.

Update: Zooma Tour Cancelled     2005-05-27 01:08:28
Superfly and AC Entertainment have pulled the plug on the traveling Zooma Tour. Ticket refunds for all dates will be given through the outlets where the tickets were purchased. In a message posted on Zooma’s webpage, the traveling festival’s promoters said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, it has become clear that it would not be possible to provide that experience at the level initially envisioned. Rather than go forward with a tour that falls short of what was conceived, everyone involved has mutually agreed that it is best to cancel the tour altogether."

Less than a month before Zooma’s scheduled kick off, none of the festival’s performances had sold-out and prime seats were still available in several major markets. After Anastasio’s spring theater tour received mixed reviews, it was unclear whether the former Phish guitarist would retain the touring crowd so essential to his previous live success. While Anastasio toured amphitheaters as a solo act in 2001, by the following year he had largely moved back to theaters and smaller-sheds. Combined with his recent dates in April and May, Zooma would have marked Anastasio’s largest outing since the late 1990s, leaving fans to question the guitarist’s decision to break-up Phish. Last year, Anastasio cited time off the road as a major factor in his decision to part ways with his longtime bandmates. Oddly enough, news of Zooma’s cancellation arrived a day after the one-year anniversary of Anastasio\'s announcement that Phish would part ways after Coventry.

Zooma’s cancellation has left many to question the future of the “touring festival.” Last year promoters aborted a jamband-heavy Lollapalooza, forcing Perry Farrell to re-envision his seminal festival as a single weekend offering. Other touring packages also scheduled to for this summer include String Cheese Incident’s BIG Summer Classic and Gov’t Mule’s Voodoo Caravan Tour.

Fans who purchased tickets through Trey Anastasio or Ben Harper’s ticketing pre-sales will automatically be refunded for ticket face value plus all other service and shipping charges. Refunds will begin Friday, May 27, and continue until June 2nd. Once the refund is processed, fans will automatically receive an email confirmation. Anastasio is expected to confirm a handful of rescheduled summer tour dates in the coming days.

Trey tour will follow I\'m sure, but I def. was into the old, big band.  The horns were tight, Cyro added something and the chemistry was obviously there- which ticket sales can prove.  oh well, just wish he call up Ray, Grippo, Hartswick and company for some real musick. (then again, I wish he could call up.....)
Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

if i prayed i would pray for trey.. really. all of the interviews ive read in the past couple years, he just seems like a confused man-child because of drugs. i hope he comes out of it strong. music he wrote changed me.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

Personal, I think Trey new stuff is way more ser than anything phish did post hiatus... For one the words are alot more heartfelt and soulful than most phish lyrics... Phish has been sooo over for a long time now.. If you dont like his new stuff ,dont worry about it.. People like to say Trey could have done this with his old band or something like that..No he couldnt.. The old band was to the point of lazyness and routine... I for one am glad he is doing what makes him happy and I say bring it on.... Bean
