that\'s so sad.
i was actually planning on going to a dso show tonight in maryland with some friends. i know a lot of people on this board will say that they are just some stupid cover band, but i always liked seeing dso the few times that i have. i have to say i enjoyed some of their shows more than most of the pathetic dead shows i\'ve been to recently. damn this guy was only 36, awful.

i just talked to a friend down south who was going to a DSO show the other night and his team was passing out Breakfast flyers for a show.

DSO was a solid band, who, took the music of the Dead beyond, this is truelly sad. although, I am not a big DSO fan, I had respect for them for what they did, and I know a few of my friends had seen them and always said they could hold their own.

Godspeed...

the curse of the GD keyboardists lives on...ouch.  36 is to young to be having heart problems.  damn shame...

"River gonna take me
Sing me sweet and sleepy
Sing me sweet and sleepy
all the way back back home
It\'s a far gone lullaby
sung many years ago
Mama, Mama, many worlds I\'ve come
since I first left home

Goin home, goin home
by the waterside I will rest my bones
Listen to the river sing sweet songs
to rock my soul"
Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

Damn, that sucks.  36 years old is way to young for heartfailure...wow.  I was really looking forward to the Mem weekend 2-=nighter at Toad\'s and others that week or two they were going to be around.

this really hurts.  DSO is one of my favorite bands to see, in fact they are one of only a handful of musical acts id even pay to see every time they come around.  they really did something magical i think and the shows were always a great time.  damn.

Wasnt a fan per se. but the loss of such a young person is truely sad.

I am 31 and it really makes you think when folks this young pass or are diagnosed with cancer or whatever. Guys make sure to go to the docotors regularly to get yourselves checked out, I am the biggest procrastinator when it comes to going for the physical but it just might make the difference

A 29 year old friend of mine recently died from a heart complication as well.  He was a professional biker so it wasn\'t a lack of exercise that got him.  Probably one of the coolest guys I knew.  Very tragic.

As far as Mike\'s suggestion to get checked out regularly, I totally agree.  My grandfather didn\'t go for physicals for many years and finally decided to go to a doctor after living with some pain.  He ended up dying one week later after the appointment because he had been living with prostate cancer for years and didn\'t know it.  It spread to his bones and he was gone pretty quickly.   The worst part about it was that he may have still been alive in his 90\'s today if it was promptly diagnosed.  He was jogging around the Oakland Hills in his 70\'s and wasn\'t about to "go out" anytime soon if it wasn\'t for the cancer.
