OK folks. Sorry this 1 has taken so long to get on BT. It will be up around 7PM and I will post when I have it all squared away.
The show was very interesting. When Kyle and I arrived the band out numbered the folks in the bar and I kind of thought it was gonna be just us (and it almost was). Anyway by the time the band took the stage the place filled in a little. As the night wore on the attendance grew and I actually had to play defense for the mics a few times
The first set F-ing ripped. jam > What The Funk > In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed > Wake Up In A Coma > Drum Solo > In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed This was SICK. The Liz reed was 1 of the best I have EVER seen Period (incl. the Almans etc). The 1st transition into was a little off but that was it. The whole thing just smoked in and out of it. The 2nd set was great. Tough to beat the first set but was solid all around and the band had this agressive tone to them, Jordan was doing some really cool stuff with his effects and it makes for some very trippy listening.
The Big story of this show I think is Set # 3. It really want an encore at all. The band finished 2nd set and that was it. On a normal night we would have been packed up and in the car already but we were BS\'ing with Dobbs and Chris and Ron etc. Now we were almost done packing up the rig. the band had been off the stage for roughly 20minutes or more when Dobbs says They are gonna do another 30minutes. Well we had to scramble fast just to get 1 rig setup (we had the AKG\'s and the Beyers, my laptop, JB3 and 2 DATS) Just as the are about to go we started rolling again (hurray).
Thank GOD we did. 2001 > Superbad > 2001, The Vermont Song. And man was it off the hook. In the Vermont Song (best ever ?) The band got really Bluesy and Tim started doing these vocalizations that he was mimicing (sp?) on the guitar. Very much like the old blues players used to do. It was about this time that Kyle, Chris, Dobbs, Crimsonknuckles, and myslef all looked at eachother with that blown away look on our face. Classic.
