I went to see the movie last night.  I enjoyed it but would like to know some of the facts that the movie was actually based upon.  I\'m sure many of the horrors were created for the screen.  I could spend some time doing research on the internet but I prefer to cheat and ask for some background on the case from any of you who may have knowledge of the case.

Wanta see this just because the Amityville movies from the 70\'s were always perfect for late nite smoke sessions as a teen. I mean really I have seen them sooooo many times latenite local channel movies.
Saw the trailer and knew it was an Amityville remake as soon as I saw the flys in the window sill.

I once got a job at that dinky little movie theater you speak of.  I showed up to work, and they told me to leave b/c I was wearing shelltops. run dmc stylee.. bastids.. this kid I know was a ticket taker and got fired for talking to John Scofield instead of finishing the ticket taking process.  Is the old man with one thumb still a ticket guy?? he used to scare all the lil\' ones
Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

In Search Of with Leonard Nimoy did a great episode about the Amityville house. The doll prop that they used was horrifying. If you get a chance read the book. Lots of good info and insight.
