Here is the way I can see it happening. The Yankees travel to Boston for the last 3 games of the season, which means, they can be playing for the AL East title going into the last game. Then they can meet again for the penant. Might be a real wild end to this season. If Belhorn comes alive like he did last year, then he might make a difference, I doubt it.

Mark Belhorn had to ride the crest of the greatest miracle in baseball history in order to be able to hit for 3 days.  The only way he will make a difference is if he strikes out in a big spot.  Which he will, because as I already said, he and Embree are secret Red Sox sabateurs.

I don\'t care what the calendar says.  September in Boston officially began last night.

Does that big, fat, white head belong to David Wells?  Looks like it could easily be Sloth from the Goonies out there on the field.

In Fenway Park the Angels can\'t seem to win. The last 12 of 13 there fruitless causes.

Fenway Park is a tough place to pull out a victory. The Red Sox, especially the last couple of seasons, have been relentless at home. They are very fun to watch when they play at home.

I\'m pretty sure a pitching machine could shut down the Yanks.

Way to go buster! I know I’d brag about Schilling after the first good game of his 28 if he played for my favorite team. I mean he hasn’t been as bad as the worst player in the history of baseball, Carlos Beltran, but he’s been pretty bad. We’ll see. As few people apparently remember: October.

By the way, Schilling’s middle name is Montague and he’s fucking done.

yanks/sox today was one of the best i\'ve seen. brilliant performances by both Johnson and Wakefield. i have to admit i almost turned it off in the 8th when Torre didn\'t send Johnson back out.. definitely more drama than i needed in the 8th and 9th, but that\'s what helped make it such a great game..

Agreed.

I was sort of nervous with Riveria on the mound in the 9th. Ramierez was the first Red Sox to reach 3rd base all day. It is tough to way Mariano on the mound in close situations like that, especially after last seasons fall apart. However, both pitchers had a great duel going. Thank goodness for Giambi\'s homerun in the 1st.

I believe that makes the season series 9-7 in favor of the Yanks.

I think the division might be coming down to the Yanks/Red Sox at Fenway for the last 3 games of the season. Who could ask for anything more?
