Buddy Guy got the lifetime achievement award. then he jammed with john mayer.  john mayer moved up a notch in my book after this.

Umphreys McGee with Huey Lewis, Jeff Coffin and Sinead O\'Connor (who didnt really do much but stand there...)

dont forget wooten, the man has no limits.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

forgot to mention, jeff dowd was there (the REAL dude) and presented one of the awards.  he is really exactly like jeff bridges played him.
the winners:
off the top of my head....

Tour of the Year -  Phish, Summer
Studio Album of the Year -  Gov’t Mule, Deja Voodoo
DVD of the Year -  Phish - IT
Archival Live Album of the Year -  Jerry Garcia Band (they were up for 2, i forget which one)
Song of the Year - “In The Kitchen” Umphrey’s McGee
New Groove - Benvento Russo Duo

ok, i\'m really tired and groggy so i\'m not sure if i remember correctly about these categories... kinda educated guesses.

Download of the Year -  The Dead, Bonnaroo Music Festival, Manchester, TN 6/12/04
and i just straight dont remember live performance and live album.  i think i got a serious contact high last night.
