jambands.com poll - vote Breakfast!!
« Reply #226 on: April 04, 2005, 04:09:46 pm »
Here is the page that pops up when I try to vote. Like I said before I can get to these sites but aren\'t able to vote. Is anyone else getting this message? By the looks of the italic portion of the text...they are definitely on to us. Oh well, we did enough damage to at least get the band recognized. You now what they say, "there is no such thing a bad publicity" I hope!

That\'s funny shit. I was banned from voting too. Hey, I put in a couple thousand votes I think I did what I could. They even banned me from my home computer.

how come the breakfast is not a nominee for even one category on jammys.com?  do you think that the band has been knocked out of the race because the jammy people consider the bots cheating? hehe jammy people

DOubt it, pretty sure the nominees were set before the bot was created.  I expect Real Radio to get a nod for next year in two categories (studio album/song). And maybe a third for best show/set if they get on the 10k Lakes bill and get a decent set time (not that any other shows shouldn\'t be nominated, but this would be on a bigger stage so to speak).

heh, that\'s too damn funny. It\'s nice to be able to make a difference in the world :)

And i know for a fact that the nominees were named before all of this.

Also, if anyone has a mirror they\'d like to run the bot off of let me know. You need a PHP enabled web site. Could be worth it as it\'s only a matter of time till they deny access from my server to their site.

For those who may be unaware, the bot is no longer effective (I don\'t think) as they have changed the poll.

that\'s nice, but as I can\'t access the site there\'s nothing I can do about it unless someone goes to the page with the poll and sends me the source code for the page. then maybe I can mod the bot

Got it andy!

From what it seems, the code is exactly the same, just a different question to be asked.

Also, I took another look at their code. Too many HTML comments with more open security holes. SQL queries that should be commented out on the server side and just more dumb stuff like "LAURA PUT OTHER BANNER HERE AND ADJUST RAND VALUES TO CONTROL DISPLAY - MAKE SURE ONLY THESE TWO ARE DISPLAYED "

This is some of the worst security i\'ve ever seen. but in short, the existing bot should still work.
