Ironically, I picked Nevada over Gonzaga in the second round last year and was right. I\'d love to see them knock off Illinois today, but I can\'t see it. I\'ll believe Gonzaga is more than just a mid-major team when they beat a Duke or an NC or a Kentucky in the Tournament. They reached the Elite 8 and lost to UConn in 99, then knocked out my second-seeded Johnnies in the second round in 2000. Since then, nothing but overhype and early exits.

exactly. theyve been all hype for so long now. i always pick an early exit for them and catch shit for it.....until of course they get the early exit.

ha, funny i was actually gonna say the floppy haired white kid only wins once or twice a decade in the tourney. gonzaga has got to get away from that, it worked once but may never again for them. its time to bring in a lot more chocolate thunder zags!

for those of you not watching the UMW/BC game on right now I reccomend tuning in. I am not a big basketball fan, but this game has been extremely fun to watch thus far. Probably one of the most physical basketball games I\'ve seen in a while, I\'m waiting for fists to be thrown!

Last night was the first classic leg of the tournament. Syracuse was whistled for an unfair technical for hanging on the rim that gave Vermont a two-score lead late in the second half, but I\'m happy to see the Catamounts win since everyone got gung-ho about the Orange in about three seconds after the Big East Tournament (after they\'d been mediocre all year).

I don\'t watch basketball, ever (this is the first time I have looked at this thread I think) but I was stuck in a laundromat watching the game last night and I must say, it was highly entertaining. The announcers were practically more excited than the players, lol.

so no one else had UWM over BC except me? c\'mon, that can\'t be right! I have them on both of my $20 sheets too, damn shame I had cuse on one of those too, the other one has potential.

Note: I only looked at a few of the other brackets cos I\'m lazy

I had Milwaukee beating Alabama, but I picked BC over Milwaukee. Nice call.

good call. I was thinking bigger today, ala Nevada over Illinois. . .

Eh, West Virginia over Wake Forest works too, I knew there would be something bigger today. I had used the scenario generator and could have finished in the top 3 by getting all 3 of my remaining final four teams in, but oh well, I resign. At least in my money pool I had WV over Wake. . .

I had Wake losing to Georgia Tech in the Elite 8. They’re my third Elite 8 team to bow out. And who cares? It was a classic contest.

Props to Mike for NC State over UConn. Luckily my money pool is based out of CT and Boston and BC and UConn are now out, which kills the majority of the entries (there is a 5% drawing for people who pick the winner, and more than 70 people had UConn last year).

It was obvious all along that Connecticut was a paper second seed and today\'s game verified that. I\'m surprised N. C. State pulled themselves together after it looked like they had completely folded. Go St. John\'s!
