Being an avid fan of TB ever since 99 ,when I first stumbled upon the psychedelic artwork of their first album ,I\'ve always felt a profound love and spiritual connection with the band, especially Tim. To me his compositions are unique in the sense that they mirror greatness, not the recycled garbage of today\'s music (though I bite the inside of my lip when I hear Phaddy Boom Baddy). I remember when I first heard Rufus, I thought Tim somehow got into my head and dug out my dream chord progression. Though my relationship with the TB community has been a rollercoaster ride, I\'d just like to say: Holy Fuck...
Real Radio is what I\'ve been waiting for!!!!The maturity is mindblowing, the instrumentation is flawless...
Inner Glimspe: Loved it on the sampler, love it on the album
Vera St: My roomate said it was a cross between Jack Johnson and G Love, except for that fact that Tim pulls off his romantic ramblings in a stylish fashion, which features those goddamn catchy melodic ideas that refuse to leave my auditory range.
Sleeping Beauty: Changed the Timmy intro, I\'ll get used to it, otherwise a solid job... I cringe when I hear Timmy\'s high vibrato guitar solo.. YIKES!!
Doughboy: The synth intro/outro was a perfect way to introduce and end the song.. Vid did a wonderful job mixing the outro.
Gravity: Best song on the album hands down. The most mature jam I\'ve heard yet from the boys. Tim lays down some "Frippertronics" and tastefully solos over them, while Jordan lays down some tasteful piano lines. Overall the tension builder is ser beyond ser....
No Regret: Solid rocker.
Fairy: While I dislike the new arrangement of Fairy, i can totally overlook that fact considering how much Pevar tears it up.
Score: When did Timmy become James brown, WTF?!?!?!?! I was so worried that the horn arrangments would be cheesy.....head hanging in shame!! JB horn section ain\'t got nothin\' on these crazy crackas
Dimension 5: Ron, you devil... well done and rocking beyond the rockness of rock!!!
Fresh Cut: at first I didn\'t dig the repitiion of the actual words "Fresh Cut" because it seemed most of the songs relied on the song title as a repeating vocal idea ie Gravity, No Regret, Score, Fairy, Sleeping Beauty, BUT I realized how well produced it was and the music makes up for it. Ser tune...
TGSOT: Self explanatory, perfect.. Best drum solo from Adrian so far...
Conclusion: If they don\'t get the money, adoration and respect they deserve after this album they might as well cut their losses and move to Japan where they\'ll be worshipped daily and fed sushi off the bare ass of a Geisha...
