Signs that you spend a lot of daily time on thebreakfast.info
« on: February 15, 2005, 09:46:18 am »
I think we\'re due to return to those Breakfast related lists made popular by Wolfman beginning in 2001 (right after Deuce was released).

I\'ll get things started:

Upon arrival to your work station each morning, your first priority is to allocate the first 40 minutes to the exclusive reading of recent posts.

You accidentally call someone in your office Todd Anderson when his name is really Todd Brown.

Your name is Wah and your full-time job is generating controversy with Peck and everyone else that crosses your path.

You most likely don\'t know the appropriate usages and distinctions of "your" vs. "you\'re".

Anytime there is something important to do that should take priority over everything else, you decide that it can be put off till you read and respond to the two newest messages posted within the last 10 minutes.

You have memorized every announced show date and venue posted to the calendar for the next 3 months, even during the Real Radio release tour when the band is playing frequently.

Weekly/daily doses of the Food For Thought forum give you the ability to describe (moment-by-moment/in great detail) any show that has occured since the inception of the message board, regardless of whether you were present at all or none.

There is a memo circulating around your office that whoever keeps using SER in his TPS reports needs to stop...

You tell stories about your "best friends", even though one lives in San Diego, one lives in Alabama, one lives in Washington, DC, and you\'ve never met.

You\'ve stayed awake an extra hour because Peck was online at 4:00am, and you\'re sure that last night\'s setlist is coming soon (I did this on Saturday night/Sunday morning).

You spend so much time on thebreakfast.info that you know exactly what time the countdown clock to the Toad\'s Place-Real Radio release party is displaying at all times of the day.  In fact, it becomes your most important gauge of time and you no longer use your wristwatch.

when you would rather spend more time on thebreakfast.info rather than this website (warning - porn link site; probably not work safe)

You use terms like: ser, sound it, newb, get a room, bump, and leithland throughout your daily conversations.
case in point:  Last week, while teaching one of my 6th grade English classes, I actually used the phrase, "are you ser?!"
