I know pb and breakfast shows have always been seeded on bt.etree or upped to the LMA, but with the new album coming out, what about spreading the word further? etree is a great site for jambands, but not much else. It\'s users are generally jamband fans who may already have heard of our boys, but they are not a new audience.
Before Christmas, chris put up some shows on easytree, but was then forced to reseed at etree as ezt wasn\'t accepting new members, who were essentially already converted to the band, not a new audience anyway. While I would not advocate changing the policy about new shows going up on etree, what about putting up older shows on easytree to raise the profile a bit? It might fail dismally, but ezt users are generally into a wider spectrum of music - we might broaden the fan base.
I\'m a pretty well known poster to the classic rock/psychedelic threads and have seeded a few very popular shows; it might get a few to check out the posts just because it\'s me. Sounds big-headed, but within each genre on ezt there are known seeders of rare and good stuff. We all have a habit now of checking out each other\'s seeds and trying some just for the hell of it, even if it\'s not our usual bag.
What would be the general consensus if I put up a couple of classic Breakfast shows (but which ones???) or the Real Radio Sampler. Would Tim and the boys be cool with this?
Just an idea, I know, but I\'d like to do my bit, however small, for the cause.
(dave, wasn\'t sure whether to put this in Dig or Score, but Score seems to get more traffic - feel free to move this as necessary)
