Funnily enough, I too got a digi camera for Xmas. Not as grand as jocelyn\'s Nikon, I got an Olympus C60Zoom. Seems pretty good from playing with it over the last couple of days, but I have two queries directed at Todd and others familiar with such pieces of technology.
1. Which resolution is best for general use?
I know generally the higher the res, the clearer the piccies, but in terms of getting the best use of the card - it came with a 32MB card and the olds also bought me a 128MB card - how low can you go and still get decent pics? Available res are:
SHQ 2816X2112
HQ 2816X2112
SQ1 1600X1200
SQ2 640X480
Have tried HQ and SQ1 and there seems little difference on a 6x4 print, but I haven\'t tried printing anything larger.
2. What about show photography? (Now you understand the reason for a small, compact, but not riproaringly expensive camera - one of my wife\'s main criteria on choosing the camera was size - ie so it could be easily concealed and taken into shows.)
Should I use the Sports photography mode without flash or can someone suggests some generic settings to try to start with?
TIA
