The Breakfast Featured in New Issue of Relix Magazine!
« on: November 16, 2004, 07:49:44 pm »
The Breakfast is featured in the December / January 2005 issue of Relix Magazine (Umphrey\'s McGee).

The 2-page \'Spotlight\' spread on pages 26-27, which highlights the band\'s career and Jammy Award victory, was written by our own Diana Bellettieri, and features photograpy by our own Todd Anderson! The Breakfast also gets a mention on the cover.

Be sure to pick up Relix when it hits the stands, or go to the Relix Website to subscribe!

What is the Freddie quote? Does it involve Leith?

Is Relix distributed nationally or is it a magazine with a large concentration of readers in the Northeast?

Woah, al, can\'t believe you\'ve not heard of Relix - I\'ve even seen it on news stands in London!! It started off as a deadhead publication in the main, but has expanded to cover the jamband scene and beyond. Don\'t know their global circulation, but it\'s going to be pretty big!!

I have heard of it but don\'t know anything about its scope.  I just know that they love to chronicle the hippies (and some good music like the Breakfast on occasion).

I think the funniest thing abotu Relix is the personals in the back.

"Heady vegan lookin for his sugar mag.... I love Keller, SCI, and Mule."

It\'s practically a parody of a listing.

Sounds like some of the times when we make fun of the hippies.

I\'m sure there are plenty of heady vegan jammy chicks out there that will jump through hoops for that guy.  Probably works.

Typical hippie nonsense

cant wait to purchase my first Relix! Should be seen by thousands so lets hope we get some more action on the board here and at shows for christ sake. Hopefully the article isnt like the \'top ten bands that should have never changed their name\'
sleep a lot...eat a lot, brush em like crazy. Run a lot...do a lot, never be lazy..

Ha

Exactly. Sums up the reason why \'hippies\' have acquired such a bad stereotype.
