Hi gang....thought I would stop by and see who liked what.....we do listen to you....
Jive Talking is a BeeGees song off 1975\'s Main Ingrediant album.....their comeback after falling so far into disfavor they were billed as an oldies act. Chaka Khan did sex it up the same year, but the hit was the Bee Gees. Yes its a bit whitebread....but then again...last I looked everyone in The Breakfast was white. And we aren\'t trying to sound like anything else.
The covers are for fun....don\'t take them all that seriously. We just felt that wewanted to give the fans some things they wouldn\'t get unless they were fans. We\'ll probably do it from time to time for if peeps dig it.
The stuff from the album will be slightly refined...both songs have already had some updates since we had to send out the stuff you have to get pressed. The ones with the paper labels will be collectors items...they have the early mixes.
The AHHH in Sleepning Beuaty might not make the record, but we will add a few vocals to smooth out the blend. But we like the effects on the intruments and they will stay. I know from a long time of doing this that you can\'t please everyone...and that\'s cool. Inner Glimpse will be slightly different at the end....the synth is a bit loud. It just snuck through when trying to get to press.
What you should know about the record is that we have made a major committment to make the songs more in the recorded sense than the live versions. A bit more enphasis in the song, and the vocals than in the past. We know that everyone might have a favorite live nite of these songs, but we want the record to be a definitive recording of these tunes that appeals both to radio and fans that never heard the band at all. Its a tough order with jam bands, but I think this jam band is special.
