wtf? shoulda been the theme for this evening. i think i must\'ve said it a million times throughout the night. from ali g and the nightstand and gencs sweatin out the mullet to the absolute brilliance of walter, jesus, nihilist, and the dude. bugs??? spanish "hotel california"??? fuckin\' kenny rogers??? amazing night. sick shit all over the place. highlight of the evening for me was the ride home though. listening to zone one, especially moon: the new earth and pinocchio...pure genius slaying insanity!!!

where do these zone moments stem from? is there a roadmap to the origens of these jams?

The performance was solid. The Lebowski theme is classic. No bullshit. This is one of the best ideas in the history of this band, and to an extent, live music, ever. The crowd was receptive. They got the theme and reacted accordingly. They went to shit when Ron started blaring the Espanol version of Hotel California. One of the security guards at the Webster, a man of Spanish heritage, asked Ron if he spoke Spanish. Ron could not honesty say yes, but for those five minutes, he had the lyrics and vocals down pat. That was my highlight of the night and pretty much had to be. The band\'s costumes were great. It was an energetic crowd. Props to Todd for perhaps the best Halloween costume ever as a nighstand, or a "One Night Stand," as he called it, and to Walsh for adopting the persona of his natural alternate personality, Ali G. I went with the traditional stop sign mask and caught a complimentary handshake or two. Anyway, a great time.

*sigh*... I picked up both zone one and the real radio sampler... the rr sampler\'s label was peeling off, and it didn\'t play. opened the zone 1 disc and it looked like it had gotten wet or something. also didn\'t play. bummer.

Jocelyn, Sorry about that.  Come see me at the merch table and I\'ll take care of that unfortunate situation.

forgive me for not knowing the names of some of the Lebowski tunes.  There was a cover of CCR\'s Lookin Out My Back Door, which was sick....I just don\'t know where it goes in the list....

The Freakout.:
1: Lebowski Tune>Taboo Or Not Taboot>Dig, Jam>Merge>Jam>Attraction>Bugs#, Hotel California*, Wake Up In A Coma>Jam>The Great Big Firey Ball In The Sky>Great Big Jam>No Glove No Love, Dimension 5>Space>The Chase, My Condition>Drum Solo, Buquebus

E: Doughboy

I cant even begin to start talking about everything that went down last night.  It was a truly fantastic evening from start to finish.  The stage was decorated in the Lebowski theme, and the band was decked out: Jordan: The Dude, Adrian: Walter, Ron: Nihilist, and Timmy was my personal favorite as The Jesus.

Musically my highlights were obviously all the Lebowski 1st time played stuff.  Just right on point with no flubbs at all from anyone (at least not to my untrained ear).  Ronnie singing the spanish Hotel California was classic....

Bugs bustout.  well I dig that song and it had made a strong showing in 2004 at the solo timmy shows and it was perfectly placed right after a ser Attraction

"outta nowhere Merge",  Walsh states this as the fastest Breakfast Merge.  It was really fast and really sick.  and was followed by an amazing jam.

There were a lot of jams in the show last night.  I think the band has gotten really proficient in creating profound jam parts to their songs/shows.  I was having trouble last night trying to figure out if the jam was part of a song or if it was a stand alone jam, but whatever, it was nasty.

A retooled Dimension 5, was a great freshie for me.

Doughboy encore?  Come on, can it get any more ser?

I am still decompressing from this classic evening of music and people.   There were a lot of great costumes such as Walsh\'s flawless transformation into the annoying persona that is Ali G.  There was somebody there dressed as a piece of bacon which was pretty cool.  Dave of the connection that bares his name was a voodoo doll.  If there was a Mooboos Voodoo last night I was going to pick him up and start tossing him around the crowd like one of those inflatable aliens.   There were a lot of Johnny Damons in the crowd as well with the best going to Jeff Tansley in my opinion.

Ah well.....thanks to everyone who made last night possible, because it was truly a great night for the band and for everyone that made it out, costume or not.....

i just had an idea. next year the band should play the freakout the day we change the clocks back. they would get an extra hour to play and the theme could be Back To The Future. how cool would it be to travel back in time during a breakfast show? would this idea violate curfue laws? i am thinking that it would, otherwise they would have done it this year and they would have gotten more time to play.
