Never heard of Transatlantic, but after checking their website, feel I should have. Don\'t dis all the "neo shit", joe. Marillion, along with Pendragon, were among the best British bands of the eighties, especially when Fish was still with them and Pete Trewavas is bloody good. As for Transatlantic\'s drummer, anyone who could keep Dream Theater together must be amazing; their music is extremely complex in terms of structure and time signatures - perhaps even more difficult than H&TN and the Softs.
I have a fair bit of H&TN and the Softs live and on regular album and love them most days, but even I can find them a bit much sometimes. A lot of new stuff is more accessible at all times - and yes, igzi, there\'s no shame in liking Journey - Lights, Wheel In the Sky etc are monster tracks.
