Not wanting to pee in anyones cornflakes here, but isn\'t the Big Breakfast a band as well?

How do we even know they are referring to \'Staven\'s own The Breakfast?

yes, and actually they opened for PB at The Fire in Philly a couple years ago. Pretty decent horns that I remember

shit my man.....thats all you had to say.....

i dont really read magazines nor understand bizzare nutritional references to music.  i wonder when the word jamband was mentioned  in SPIN without it being a quoted reference to the dead/phish/dmb/etc related notions

It\'s funny how some feel the need to down other bands talent rather than bask in the utter positivity that is the Breakfast even being mentioned.  The whole my band is better than your band crap is so unwarranted.  I just fear that someone trying to get into the Breakfast that might love some of these often trashed on bands/styles of music might be turned off just enough not to care about getting into a new band.

Congratulations boys keep up the momentum.

I\'m not sure it\'s a matter of downing other bands\' talent so much as just having specific likes and dislikes.... to each and blah blah blah.... I think the whole point of a forum like this is to 1) share information and 2) HAVE A PLACE TO STATE ONE\'S OPINION.

However for the band everyone knows I am talking about it isn\'t just likes and dislikes it\'s berating the music, band and all around importance of said band to music.  I am all for different opinions and I could care less about what others think of the music/bands that I love; however I know that others are turned off very much by the constant bashing of other bands that they prefer not to come around and deal with it...that was my only suggestion and I know for a fact I am not the only one that thinks this way.

Yo Walsh, what band are you talking about?  The only band I\'ve seen mentioned in this thread was SCI, and I don\'t think anyone said anything that was THAT bad..,..

Now I am not trying to single anyone out this quote just happened to be in this thread, but I am talking on more of a grander scheme as far as alot of posts over the last few months.  It was just an observation?  I just think that since this is the (basically) one and only site for info on Breakfast happenings that some of the commentary about other bands would be better left unsaid if it isn\'t going to be done in any kind of constructive way.  I think that the Breakfast is a great band and I want as many people to get into them as possible, but if I were new to the band/scene and saw so much garbage being spewed I might think twice about investing anytime...that\'s all.

The Breakfast is an up and coming band who is going to need help from many to make it in new markets...I don\'t think that closing doors to other outlets/styles of music is the way to go about it.

I do not want to sound holy-than-thou because I am probably guilty of it in the past, but I try not to anymore.  I just wouldn\'t want to see this board turn into a PT jr.  That\'s all...or even worse the Jambands.com boards.
