Breakfast - "a vital building block for daily life" - goes without saying. Can we use that one for a tee??

Is Spin magazine a well circulated publication?  I think I may have heard of it.

Jam scene mag.?

Does anyone like Stirng Chesse or are they pretty much overrated?  I think i heard them at UMass & thought they were nothing special.  Could be wrong though.

Hey al, gonna pretty much stick my neck out here and admit to liking \'em. Have seen both the London incidents they\'ve done and enjoyed both - easily the best gigs in 2003 and 2004 for me.  Guess I\'ve been lucky as many cheeseheads haven\'t liked tours in recent years. Have all the albums and quite a few shows and must say their earlier stuff is better - more tunes IMHO - and as for live shows depend on their set. Sometimes they go very bluegrass, others more jazz or biscuits-like, while at other times they rock out.

Ouch! Why the downer on the biscuits? Granted their newer stuff is not all that great (not bothered dling many of their newer shows and stick to my old (albeit mp3) shows)), but Story Of the World is probably up there in my top 20 songs of all time.

String Cheese used to play some ok bluegrass.... they\'ve been straying farther and farther away from that though, and I really hate when they try to play jazzy stuff (with the excepton of Birdland, which I think they do well) because, in my opinion, they don\'t know jazz from a hole in the ground.

SCi is a great band... definitely one of my favorites.  I don\'t listen to them all that much anymore... I agree with what has been said so far as their style has progressively gone away from what I like over the years... but, if they are within easy travel distance, I will go see them live (and enjoy it) every time.  They have one of the best, most original drummers I have ever had the pleasure of hearing.
