AWESOME set. guys were great and the crowd was really into it. despite the rain, which sucked, the breakfast was lucky b/c they played immediately before moe and so lots of kids were outside grooving. karn evil was absolutely ridiculous.

dave and mike -- glad you guys are drunks and missed the bus to the racetrack. that\'s pretty funny! wolf - sweet ass freestlye in nyc. i worked on mine on the way home but i still suck.

this was a really cool show. they did a great job despite the rain and I cant believe they all fit underneath that little ass ghetto tent. I def. think they should have placed them for an inside band but hell it was all worth it just to see this set. KICK ASS!!

cant say the same for moe however. Ive been to some amazing Moe shows but this was def. not up to par. I think it had a lot to do with the rain even after they took the break from the set. (or 3 songs for that matter. The buster was really cool though.
if life were easy and not so fast, i wouldn\'t think about the past...

Wow, one of the best shows I\'ve seen in the last year.  The Doughboy/Inner Glimpse combo continues to open shows strongly while still adhereing to the infamous "formula".  (No jamming in the first 2-3 songs.)  After running these tunes, the jams really defined the show the rest of the way.  The jam into LDZ was a fantastic driving rock/breakbeat jam.  In fact, every time they play jam > (song x) , those jams are nasty.  There was a stretch in 2001 when they would jam > to open almost every show.  These jams were fantastic, but they got scrapped for the formula.  Same with Attraction today, they started way way out in some other galaxy with the trippy, tempoless psychedelia and it was sick.  I thought it was No Quarter for the first couple of minutes.  It ended up being possibly the best Attraction I\'ve ever seen, then into a smokin\' Karn Evil 9.  At this point the crowd has really gotten into it, and I was wishing that they had one more song to put the exclamation point on, because it was getting to that point where they had really started to win over the crowd.  Just when everyone thought the show was gonna end...presto!  We just got 10 more minutes!  When\'s the last time that happened?  Buquebus obviously tore the roof off at this point.  Myself and James from PA (who was at his fifth show and knows every song cold) brought back the old Breakfast bounce and it got to the point where I was having flashbacks to Camp Creek 2001.  Nobody seemed to mind the rain, we all got pretty soaked and nobody cared.  Great time!  See you soon!

Fantastic show!  Awful, awful venue and day!  The guys definitely made the best of it.  Doughboy and inner glimpse were awesome!  Don\'t regret missing that bus for the belmont one bit....ok maybe a little.

Thanks again galenas for the use of your jacket....I probably, at the very least, would have pneumonia right now if not for it.  Now I can let the alcohol kill me instead of the cold!

Never saw or heard moe. before, and I can still pretty much say I haven\'t heard them.  They should have let the guys keep playing, while they were busy fixing guitars and moppin\' up the stage!!!  What about that roadie that was talking on the microphone in the middle of one of the breakfast\'s songs???  What an ass!!!
Play some Weezer!!!

I was very disappointed in Ass-bury Park NJ.  I was expecting more along the lines of restaurants, shops and things to do.  Instead it was a scene of urban decay.  I couldn’t believe all the boarded up and abandoned buildings around the venue.  What a Shame. Hopefully some day they can rebuild that end of town.
Despite the rain, I felt the breakfast had a good day.   I was worried that the breakfast was going to be stuck in some old building way out of the way of all the main action amd playing the end of their set while moe was starting theirs.  This was not the case this time around.  Although the stage was small, the band got to play right next to the main stage in front of hundreds of people waiting for moe.  This was great exposure for the guys and they defintely deserved and earned that spot.
I thought the show’s performance was strong, tight and full of energy from beginning to end.   Adrian’s drum solo was right on, one of the best in a long time.   The jams were good but I felt a bit too distracted by rain and cold to really  get into it.  Blame that on the weather.
I recorded the show on  the 480’s > dap1.   I ended up placing the mics on the front of the stage facing toward the band about 5 ft high.  I did this for 2 reasons. Keeping the mics low helped reduce wind noise and  moe’s sound guy told me that they were going to be soundchedking during the set.  I didn’t want to hear any of that so I moved them as close to the band as possible.  The only drawback was the vocals are very low.    I should have the show on archive in a few days.

Ouch, coulda told you that Asbury Park is a ghost town.  It was the same 3 years ago when I came down for a rave.  Strange place, you can tell it was a glorious summer escape town about 20+ years ago, but is now defunct.  I\'ll tell you what though, there\'s nothing better than dropping a couple of doses and walking around in the abandoned funhouse!

WOW, I think this place might have been rockin\', like maybe 60 years ago. I was looking at clippings in the bar from 1944 when a tidal wave hit the town and defestated the place. I took many pics of buildings that were about to collapse if I breathed the wrong way!!!! FREAKY neighborhood!!!! I had no idea how bad this place was. It\'s lookin\' like their is NO hope for this place. Although it did look like they were re-building a couple of places. How about the Empres Hotel, which from the non-waterside looked like a great place to stay.....you turn the corner....and it looks like a scene from Berut....whole front side of the hotel-----GONE!!!

Those pictures from 1944 were the first pictures that Todd ever took... he was only 18 years old.
