I don\'t question this. I question our need for a name on the fanbase. When you are in the lot selling grilled Pizza\'s at a Breakfast show, you can almost guarantee that a name for the fans will surface.

ok. but really, I gotta agree w/ Spacey.  While it\'s kinda fun to see the creative thinking with these name idea\'s.  It\'s also kinda forced and lame.  Let others name us when our numbers justify a name.  I wish Spacey could get as much attention and participation w/  his promo efforts as this thread is getting.  And I\'m mostly pointing that finger at myself.  Spacey PM me, what do ya need?  how can I help?!  I got a great idea for a video... oh wait, we already discussed that.

Did Phish fans name themselves Phishheads?

I ask because I am unsure of the answer.

I just think that self-naming our following is kinda of stupid. First, we are small. Second, outside of New England, most of us don\'t follow the band. I truely believe that all of us hardcores are obligated to go to shows that are in New England. When we finally start to grow noticably to the outside community then we deserve the name recognition. Until then, we are all just fans or groupies.

I agree, the name should be reconized not given. And to boot, the name of the fan base should\'nt come from a fan....
