Porters Opener
« Reply #15 on: June 09, 2004, 09:38:36 am »
With all this Jam> and "formula" talk, I was wondering what you all were thinking would be a good opener for Porters this friday....

Personally I would have to go with:

Mooboos Voodoo>Heather>Mooboos Voodoo.....

The Ep 2 Doughboy sandwich was my favorite from the last Porters and I think it would be awesome if they just threw that shit down from jumpstreet.....

I am not sold on the >Heather> but I love the Mooboo\'s Sandwich......

a Mooboos>Score>Mooboos would be SER.

how bout tansley comes to the show, just because i feel like i haven\'t seen him in forever! ;)

oh, and the reason it feels like you haven\'t heard it in forever is because they haven\'t played it in forever - 7/9/03 was the last one.. :(

steve - didn\'t you start the \'official\' porter\'s thread?? :sigh: ;)

i\'m gonna merge.. which, by the way, would be a fine opener. :D

I heard bugs was shelved....Which sucks cause I love that tune...

was 7-9 a webster show?

MERGE WOULD BE A SICK OPENER....

why did you merge my Porters Opener thread with the official Porters discussion thread?  I can see where you are coming from, but it screws up the emial link to the page......either way......

yeah, i\'m a bugs fan myself..

07/09/03 - House of Glass Restaurant; Dunsmuir, CA

i just merged to make things cleaner. starting an \'official\' porter\'s thread was a good idea, so why not put everything in there? there were like 4 different threads for last week\'s tim show, and it got almost as sloppy as i was that night. ;)

what email link?

edit: oh, you mean by subscribing to the thread?? sorry...

AMEN to that.  Also, from personal experience, it seems like they play much better second sets than first sets.

I\'m psyched to see Bugs ... ON THE SHELF.  Haha.  I always felt like it would bring a set down compared to so much of the other material.  Plus, it was one of their choice "formula" songs for a while along with Dig and Fiery Ball, none of which I felt were getting the sets opening with any pop.  Bugs is quite similar to Love Lake, and nobody\'s calling for that song to come back.
