Spring tour FLAC offer

I have most of the shows from the tour that Chris M taped while working the merch table. They come to about 8.6 GB and will fit on 2 DVD-Rs in FLAC format. If anyone wants to give me 2 DVD-Rs at the tim show on wednesday or at cafe 9 on fri i will burn the FLAC files and have the DVDs back to you by Saturday\'s show.

Sorry, i dont have the time to go to the post office or burn audio or FLAC CD-Rs at this time, But i will burn them for everyone that wants the FLAC files on DVD-R because its less work for me.

i\'ve never bought these before. what kind of dvd-r would you recommend? and is dvd+r something totally different from dvd-r ?

if you have a dvd-rom drive you should be able to read both. my dvd burner can burn both, so it really doesnt matter. i always use dvd+r though

so are these DVD\'s w/ visual & audio, or just audio?  

I guess they have to be DVD\'s because they hold more info & all the shows will fit onto 2 discs??

its just audio. there are 15 shows here. each show would normally fit on 1 or 2 cd-rs apiece in flac format. i am not going to burn about 20+ cd-rs for each person, so if i put the flac files on dvd it will keep things quick and simple because all 15 shows will fit on 2 dvd-rs. i am sure someone without a dvd-rom drive will give me dvd-rs or someone will be expecting to get video.

I should be getting the rest of the tour from chris m on saturday.  thanks chris m for doing a great job taping!.   if all goes well, I should have them transfered in a week or so.

we need a volunteer to help upload these shows to archive.  my internet connection keeps dropping out.  thanks chris f for buring shows for everyone.

My DAP1 is very old and is becoming very unreliable.  It ate a few tapes from the tour.  we need to buy a nomad with an 80 gig hard drive and a mic preamp.   I am willing let him use my mics for the next tour/summer.

whats a good/cheap mic pre?
whats the best price for nomad with 80 gig drive?
