I was at one of the Recipe family cookouts last year and it was pretty cool, but PB only got to play a short afternoon set - first set of the day in fact - which is the worst possible time to have to play.  I want to see a festival this year but preferably not one where The Breakfast has to play at noon.  I\'m sure the Recipe will show the Breakfast a little more love this year and give them a better time slot.

GOTV was a good time the first time I went, like 5 years ago, when it was at Seaside Park in Bridgeport. That was a realyl fun festival.

Yes, the lineups tend to be pretty decent.

I just don\'t like the direction the festival is heading in. I\'ve been to I think 3 GOTVs, and it has gotten progressively worse with more and more focus on making money and less and less focus on the people and the music. I suppose this is natural since it has been getting progressively bigger. But it still sucks and I will never go to another GOTV ever again. I went maybe 3 yrs ago when it was on a farm in NY where it rained all weekend and half of the music was cancelled. I have never seen so many assholes in my life, and water and bags of ice alone had me broke by the end of the weekend. I have also never seen so many people be so disrespectful to a beautiful piece of land in my entire life. I was so depressed upon leaving that fest by the state of disrepair that the farm was in that I didn\'t go to any other festival for about a year.

Last year was terrible also. Terrapin did some shitty sleazy things, most of which people working the fest told me about and made me promise not to repeat. One example is what happened to the people who were running the flush toilets (these people were working their asses off to give all of us something that is a HUGE luxury at a festival. It is a shitty job, pun intended.) They were supposed to get paid AND get free food through the end of the weekend. Terrapin told them on Sun AM that they would not receive any free food or pay that day. Many of them stopped working, but most just kept on helping out until the end of the fest simply because they wre such nice people. They weren\'t happy though!

Also, GOTV is always filled with the type of people I just don\'t want to see at fests. I know these people are unavoidable, but there just seems to be a very high concentration of them at GOTV and Sketchfest, err, Berkfest. GOTV last year was also the first festival where I had something stolen from me: camera, money, rolls and rolls of pictures I had taken, pipe, trees, etc. Pain in the ass. Perhaps that is largely what has soured me to the Vibez...
