But we already know what\'s going to happen, don\'t we?

I\'ve said it once in this thread already and I\'ll say it again for the last time, Beware the Devil Rays

But yea, we all do know what\'s going to happen if it comes down to the ALCS, whoever the Yanks pick up to play 2B will hit a walk off homer in game 7 ;) (even though Cairo earned his pinstripes the other night I\'m still thinking George wants someone else, although the combined numbers of Cairo/Wilson are pretty good. . .)

pfft. It is his JOB. The catch was impressive, yes. But his willingness to make the catch? So what?! He gets paid millions of dollars, and if he won\'t dive into, I dunno, a swamp full of alligators to catch the damn ball because he can\'t handle a few bumps and bruises then that is just pathetic. I don\'t know why everyone made such a big deal about this. Sure, it was a great catch. But it\'s not like he\'s some sort of hero because he got scraped up a bit. Jesus christ

the natural reaction of a human body is to shy away from contact like that that is sure to cause injury. it just proves his desire and concentration levels are superior to most ballplayers today. he\'s a leader and a winner.....theres a lot of real good ballplayers......even on the red sox........but not many in history with a knack for getting it done when it counts most, like him. oh yeah......and nomar didn\'t see fit to even try to do his job that night.....by the way.....i was there :)

All\'s I\'m saying is it would prove their desire to help their team. I know people don\'t wanna get hurt but from the way Yankee fans talk so much shit you would think they would help a guy out. Damn how many times you seen Shaq flatten people? Some even take the hit to save the big man. Stupid yes but being a fan(fanatic) means sometimes not acting logically like moving when 300+ lbs. is coming @ you. If I gotta take a hit for Khalil Greene or Sean Burroughs so that the Pads can stay healthy I think I would. Hell if I got hurt, after my hospital stay you don\'t think i would get some gear or tix? LOL

Well I agree w/ all those being games w/ cool shit but the Pads one. Langston threw a friggin\' strike that would have set the Yanks down but noooooooooooooo.

I disagree. That nonstrike took the fight out of the guys and the awesome presence of Yankee Stadium took ahold and ........ :( :( It just really sucked!

Well compared to The Yanks of that year obviously they were not that great.  Yeah the Yanks took it to the Pads but @ least Tony went yard there.
As for the Senior League @ least their pitchers got some balls and hit like every other player on their team. The whole reason for the DH is outdated and w/ Interleague play obsolete. I hate waiting for the 3 run bomb. Earn your damn check and steal a bag or two. Play small ball, show us some real baseball talent, move a runner over w/ a sacrifice, pull a double steal, bunt and make the pitcher field. I could go on and on.
Oh and BTW my favorite team is the AL Anahiem Angels.

i hate watching pitchers hit and i hate watching the number eight guy get pitched around and i hate watching a great pitcher leave a game prematurely only to be replaced by a marginal utility player.......just my opinion
