Better to have Nomar not playing than Jeter playing this year.

120 days till the Sox clinch the wild card!

First place:  GONE.  (And not coming back)  That\'s OK, Labor Day was the latest we\'ve had it in years.  Good season!  I\'m not worried at all about the wild card.  Yankees, Angels, Sox, and Central Division winner in the playoffs, no doubt about that.

By the way:  Let\'s Go Mets!  (Oh my god I hate living in New York.)

It\'s pretty pathetic that they only won by and scored one run....but a win is still a win

That\'s the first time I\'ve ever heard a 1-0 game called pathetic.  Usually they\'re called a "pitcher\'s duel" and they are a rare treat.

A pitching duel between David Whales and Pedro is exciting usually. Not last nite though, Pedro got the Zone David did not. It was not all that exciting.

Oh and something tickin\' me off. How can someone who has not played all season lead the all star vote @ Shortstop? That is ridiculous! I understand fan voting but come on. Have a little respect for the players actually playing.

This demostrates one or a combination of two things.

1.) The Red Sox are marketing the hell out of the voting.
2.) Too many people who don\'t pay attention to baseball still vote.

I personally don\'t know enough about the league as a whole to vote intelligently.  The best I could do is vote solely on statistics, and that only works to a degree (sorry Wolf, statistics aren\'t everything :) )

Pads and RSox 1-1 in the Series. After being a Boston Fan for a few years it\'s a hard choice for me. I\'ve been to 3 home games here in SD already and I\'ve come to really love the Pads this year. I\'m glad they showed themselves in Fenway. I\'ll be happy either way though.
