yes and yes. Jimmie Foxx hit 50 in 1938, th only red sox player to ever reach that many.

moving on:
Q. The red sox set a team record for the longest winning streak with 15 games.
What year did this occur?

The answer to my question is a.  Ground Rule Double.  b. Home Run C. home run.

Paul, I\'ve seen the website where you\'re getting all these questions from.  Nothing wrong with that, but I just thought I\'d put it out there that my questions are 100% original!

they are all home runs, the ball never hit the ground. . . example, canseco, hit him off the head, went over and was a home run, it never hit the ground.

once it hits the wall, it either has to go out for a homer or if it touches anything else before going out, it\'s a ground rule double....that\'s the gist of it

yea, those are from a couple of web sites. One of the guys I work with gave me the links, so I figured I\'d re-post them. (I knew mine would get answered faster than yours just because of that).

Clearly you\'ve forgotten that it was a specific loser who started this thread.

Well, it\'s been 2 amazing days at Yankee Stadium.  Each day started with serious street-side ticket swinging, buying and selling.  Workin the lots baby, oh yeah.  Saturday was the most beautiful day I have ever seen, and what better way to enjoy it than with a 12 inning victory!  My buddy and I were in the bleachers and were treated to a nice 4 hour sampling of New York\'s Finest Meatheads.  I cannot repeat anything they were saying, and they didn\'t care one bit that there were kids everywhere.  We were accused of being homosexuals about 2,000 times, and there is nothing better than having 500 meatheads pointing at you and singing "Why Are You Gay" to Y.M.C.A.  Thing is though, come the 12th innning, they were spent.  Top of the 12th, Sox players had 2 strikes on them and instead of standing up they just sat there like it was a library, and this was before Boston even took the lead.  Then bottom of the 12th, with their team down by 1, totally devastated and silent.  So weak.  Today, we had $40 seats but sat in the $125 seats.  Nobody called us one name or responded to anything we said.  We were quite tame just because it was so boring to talk trash and have everyone just politely listen.  But when Pedro mowed down Jeter in the sixth to end the inning with runners on second and third, we totally came out of the shell and really let Jeter have it (no swears or slang though), and nobody retaliated.  I mean, there we are, telling the Yankees captain that he doesn\'t deserve pinstripes and that he should go back to triple A to work on his hitting and that Nomar is better and waving a Red Sox towel in his face from about 30 feet away, and he\'s looking right at us and hearing every word, and not one Yankee fan piped up.  (Maybe they felt bad because Bernie gave me the cockblock last week.)  The fans are just as lost as the team right now.  We finally got some retaliation in the 9th inning while we were doing a non-stop "sweep" chant to every Yankee fan who was leaving their team early.

Bottom line though, 2 phenomenal baseball games.  Totally October-style ball, great time.  This is The Year.
