that\'s my point, don (also, hope you had a great honeymoon!) i\'d imagine talk about a new fu disc on each of kung fu\'s members\' other band\'s sites. but since two of them are in the breakfast, it seems like this is as good of a place as any to find out tidbits both about kung fu and other projects.
i realize that a big part of the issue is that this site is basically admin-less lately. adrian\'s solo disc is great, but that banner could be switched to the kung fu disc now that there\'s a new product out.
i see that you can buy the album from the kung fu site now. so, that\'s great news!
igz, not everyone is on facebook, so limiting exposure to there is just that, limiting. if you start a business, do you only advertise in the yellow pages? no. you advertise any and every where you can. and you make it easily found advertisement.
you\'re right about the thread, though. i didn\'t open a daniel street thread. had it been titled cd release, i would have seen it and let ct friends know about it. that is my fault for not opening it. (its the one major thing i wish dave had fixed before he split, the titling of calendar threads to give more info than just the venue - not even a date.) but still, a daniel street thread with 11 posts doesn\'t make me think, \'gee, i wonder what\'s so special about that particular show\', either. in fact, it makes me think, \'i guess not many people are interested in that one, so why bother opening it?!\'
i\'m not asking to be spoon fed. i just think that googling \'
"kung fu band" or "kung fu music" would pull up their site, and not just a link to their "official" page on myspace, which has no info, either. i think something like a new release by any of the members of the breakfast should warrant more than an 11 post thread with an anonymous title. and i think the kung fu website, once found, should\'ve had an easy to find link to purchase the cd. it does now, so the major issue is now out of the way.
like don said, they\'ve got some momentum going these days, and i\'d just hate to see lack of promotion and visibility interfere with that in any way.
