Kung Fu Album?

sure, after an album was released that wasn\'t mentioned here (other than ad saying in march to keep an eye out for a release date, then there never being an announcement of said release date).

i should have checked the kung fu kalendar, that\'s totally on me. except for the part where it doesn\'t appear on the main page\'s calendar drop down box and only shows up in the drop box once you\'re looking at a calendar already. but if i went to the forums sublevel, then looked i would have found it. i don\'t ever go to the forums because there\'s not enough site traffic to bother looking at anything other than newest posts on the main page.

however, i\'d imagine a breakfast cd release show would\'ve gotten a thread of its own that was highly trafficked in advance of the show/release and that the actual release date would be mentioned. and i\'d imagine a kung fu album release show would be discussed on their message board, but since there isn\'t one of those, this seems like a sensible place for it to be.

i just hate seeing another great musical project not get the recognition and publicity they deserve.... [/dead horse]

please let me know when and where i can purchase the new album.

"Wow!"  Great response jking!
Somehow a lot of Kung Fu news has shifted over to facebook.
Another issue was, simpletwistedum was off on a honeymoon & wasn\'t up on posting events on .info.

Psychjosh should keep up with posting Kung Fu news on .info.
http://www.KUNGFUMUSIC.com is the Kung Fu site.
I would think ordering a CD should be easy there. If not, they best get their act together!

hey, i\'m not even the biggest kung fu fan but the show thread had been here since its announcement and always said it was the cd release on top, is it their fault you didn\'t read it when it was at the top of the page?  http://www.thebreakfast.info/forum/showthread.php?p=270594#post270594
really, you\'re grasping at straws, this isn\'t even the fucking kung fu website, and all you had to do was go to their facebook page to see discs were available at daniel st. and the boston boat cruise.  damn these people who want everything handed to them in 2011, god forbid you remember when you had to leave the house to get new music.

Even though this is theBREAKFAST.info... it has seemed to evolved into a catch all for whatever projects these guys choose to engage in.  Please understand that the information/gigs that gets posted is usually gathered through scouring various sites and centralized here (as much as I can find out).  I have asked each of the band members to forward me their "side project" gigs when they have time, and when they have the time they do.

My goal lately has been to try and make sure EVERY one of the projects they do are featured here so that the b\'fam knows about it.  From time to time one slips through the cracks that I can\'t help but there is usually someone else who might pick up on it (and thank you for those of you that help).  As we all can see, Kung Fu is the front runner with gigs right now along with Timmy Solo shows... but there is no Kung Fu message board.

Should there be? Maybe... will it happen? Maybe... but until it does, why not use this site to bring in new fans that follow Fu, Timmy Tour or Elemental, etc?  It allows exposure to all of the other projects these guys are involved in as well.  Yes, this is probably a dead horse argument but with KF catching momentum, we should be able to use it to our advantage to get some exposure for the Breakfast & all the other projects.

I get it, everyone here loves the Breakfast... but to me .info has defintely evolved into something more than just that. You don\'t have to like everything they do... but you can at least be supportive of the members of the band you come here to talk/bitch/whatever about... Yeah, maybe things seem to be dwindling around here for might be the "old guard".  But that shouldn\'t stop those of us that frequent here from advertising or spreading the word about .info.

For what its worth... Long live the B\'Fam!

nice work, Donny.

kungfu.info ...

But yeah, what Donny said... let Kung Fu fans discuss it here, in case they\'re not aware of what\'s up with TB and other projects. Works for me.

that\'s my point, don (also, hope you had a great honeymoon!) i\'d imagine talk about a new fu disc on each of kung fu\'s members\' other band\'s sites. but since two of them are in the breakfast, it seems like this is as good of a place as any to find out tidbits both about kung fu and other projects.

i realize that a big part of the issue is that this site is basically admin-less lately. adrian\'s solo disc is great, but that banner could be switched to the kung fu disc now that there\'s a new product out.

i see that you can buy the album from the kung fu site now. so, that\'s great news!

igz, not everyone is on facebook, so limiting exposure to there is just that, limiting. if you start a business, do you only advertise in the yellow pages? no. you advertise any and every where you can. and you make it easily found advertisement.

you\'re right about the thread, though. i didn\'t open a daniel street thread. had it been titled cd release, i would have seen it and let ct friends know about it. that is my fault for not opening it. (its the one major thing i wish dave had fixed before he split, the titling of calendar threads to give more info than just the venue - not even a date.) but still, a daniel street thread with 11 posts doesn\'t make me think, \'gee, i wonder what\'s so special about that particular show\', either. in fact, it makes me think, \'i guess not many people are interested in that one, so why bother opening it?!\'

i\'m not asking to be spoon fed. i just think that googling \'
"kung fu band" or "kung fu music" would pull up their site, and not just a link to their "official" page on myspace, which has no info, either. i think something like a new release by any of the members of the breakfast should warrant more than an 11 post thread with an anonymous title. and i think the kung fu website, once found, should\'ve had an easy to find link to purchase the cd. it does now, so the major issue is now out of the way.

like don said, they\'ve got some momentum going these days, and i\'d just hate to see lack of promotion and visibility interfere with that in any way.

i\'m not trying to be a dick, i just hate to see the breakfast floundering w/ barely any shows on the schedule and not much to look forward to and everyone change gears to kung fu to deal with it.

i\'m sure i\'ll be on that bandwagon at some point, but a breakfastless future scares me terribly.  i\'m glad to see some shows popping up beyond the big up to keep this thing alive.
