A few weeks ago I got a request from a band that will remain nameless. For various internal reasons, they wanted a private watered down version of the stats site. My initial reaction was to say no but then I thought about it. Since I now have the ability to import setlists housed at another site, I changed my mind. ...The hardest part is to make sure that every song title is spelled exactly the same way in the setlist document, but once you have that going, it’s not too bad. It took about four hours from the time I received the URL for the files to the time that I had a somewhat working system...Once I finished doing that, I looked at what I ended up with after doing the streamlining and I realized something. There’s no longer a good reason for me to tell someone that I can’t make a stats site for their band. All I have to do now is know what years they’ve played – I will have to do a minor tweak for Mystery Band when they play their first 2011 show – and then the rest of the work is on the fan/management to get me the file list in the format I need. It’s a new year, so here’s a new idea. Anyone who wants stats for their band – I don’t care how big or small they are, I don’t care if I completely hate them or if they’re one of my favorites – get in touch with me. You get me the files I need – a setlist file for each year, a list of every song played, a list of every date played complete with venue information – and I’ll do the rest. You could even have the page be password protected if you need be.

i\'d love to have a zzyzx-style site for the breakfast. i love to nerd out over this stuff from time to time. anybody want to put some files togther?

Most of the setlists can be found here already.... i think there might be a few years missing. But they might be available on setlist.com or something.
Where to next?

they used to be up on the old breakfast.net or whatever it was, but yeah we\'re missing like 02-04 here which kinda sucks.

i\'m more interested in personal song/show stats than the actual setlists. i\'ve got a personal excel file with all my shows/songs on it (NERD ALERT!), but it\'s kind of inconvenient to add to

you\'re not alone, i had a list of all the breakfast shows and their setlists on my old computer  which died around my 98th or so shows.  even went so far as to count the times i\'ve seen each individual song on paper as well as by year and by state.  my top 3 most seen songs at that point were the Chase, Hardluck Harry and Mayfly at 31, 30 and 29 times respectively.

Any chance of resurrecting the setlist feature that used to be on here? That seemed to be pretty complete.

I am all for this setlist site and stat tracker idea. I love geeking out on this stuff also. I have always loved the GD\'s \'Deadbase\' which had loads of stats and stuff like that.

There are a bunch of setlists here, but they are a bit cumbersome to search through. Could be more streamlined. Also, where are the lists for 2000 through 2002?

Setlist.com is ok, but its PB is incomlete. I don\'t think there are any lists for the Breakfast. But, there are a few setlists after 2-26-04 which are listed under PB.

I would love to help in any way I can.

even still you\'d need the entire database to process the personal stats and percentages for everyone, wouldnt you?  i think this is a great idea... so what do we do next?

Its days like this that I could geek out to setlists and stats to my hearts content.

What do we need to do to make this happen? Compile all of the lists into one folder or document or something?

By reading that little blurb above, I see that we need the songs titles standardized. Maybe we could develop a master list and divvy up the years between a few folks or whatever and edit the lists. Once that is done, it looks like we just send him the lists and he does the rest.

The old setlist db used to be on the "official site" It was almost complete. I used to use it to go back and track and or tag old shows

I don\'t know what happened to it. The link is dead. I hope someone made a backup copy of that info. I tried using the archives WAY BACK MACHINE but it only gives you the 1 year on the page the cached.

To be honest I am not even sure who does the official site or has access to it.

I have a backup of the old site stored on one of my hard drives. If and when I ever get my computer at home working again I can hook it up.

Search under threads I created and you\'ll find setlists from 04-08.  98-03 should be available at setlists.com...

Does anyone have any suggestions on how all of this data should be compiled? I think I am going to get to work on this, so what should I do, word files, excel? Can anyone give me some guidance.

Tim or Dave must have this.  The Breakfast website used to have ALL setlists.  Wonder why they took it down? Anyways, I would love to have the Breakfast stats site active!  Though to be honest, I wouldn\'t be satisfied if it were missing years.  It would defeat the purpose for me.

Yes.  I know exactly what you need.  You need to contact the zzyzx guy and have him tell you.
