Holy Shit - Instant Karma!
Instant Karma was probably the low point of the show...Trey just kinda muddled through.
Mansfield 6-7-11: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7WYLU2GWThe rest of the show was very very good, especially that second set. The Rock & Roll got really far out there in type II territory before coming back together to segue into Mango song. It sounded like something out of the 2.0 days. Dark and very trippy.
I like that they are keeping it fresh this tour and changing up the setlists a little bit. Not only with songs they don\'t always play, but regular staples getting played out of their standard spots. Mid first set Bowie, late 2nd set Halley\'s and Meatstick, Antelope closer!
Other than Rock & Roll I thought that Trey really crushed the end of Divided Sky. Bowie was great. Pebbles and Marbles and Bug sounded polished even though they don\'t get played very often.
By the end of the show you could see how much fun they were having. Some might say the Halley\'s jam was "aborted", but it was really fun to see them go into Meatstick there. Antelope had some Meatstick teases (and a quick Bug Tease). Suzy also had some Meatstick teases and Trey was cheering Page on during the Suzy jam...great little segment and interplay there between Mike and Page.
Overall this was a very strong show and can easily be argued to be the best show of the tour (or at least set of the tour with Set II). It seems they are capable of just about anything right now...SuperBall is going to be hard to miss if they keep this pace up.
