On an NHL quasi-related note... the Hartford Wolfpack has been renamed the Connecticut Whale for those old school Whaler fans who hadn\'t heard yet...
Where to next?

Amen!  Even though it\'s only only been a little over three months since the end of the season, I need my hockey fix NOW!

Fun game last night between the Rangers and Devils

Stepan And McD looked really good. Boyle was a monster, I hope he will continue to play the physical game and use his size.

Love having the Boogeyman on the team although the 10 min misconduct call was total BS

Frolov looked great, Gabby was Gabby

Dubi looks like he really hit the gym in the off season. Hopefully they keep a few kids on the team. Should be a fun season

It\'s pre-season...  The Rangers will suck as per usual and miss the playoffs... Brodeur is getting older, but he\'s got the record and The Rangers have the Queen in net...

I can\'t believe hockey hasn\'t been discussed in here since september! Piss poor!

Anyways, I have to vent on the Blackhawks.  What the hell has happened?  They win the cup last year, have a whole musical chairs done in the off season, and now we are left with a team that can\'t gel on the ice.... that can\'t win games.  Its honestly just plain old sad and pathetic.

I know there are a lot stat nerds out there, and I am sort of curious how the winning team has fared the next year.  Right now, Chicago is 26-20.   Not what you\'d expect for the defending stanley cup champs.  Because most of their games wins and losses have been sloppy.

My 2nd team Rangers seem to be having a decent season.  I tend to see more Rangers games than Hawks games just because of the MSG network.  I will also add, pretty impressed with the marketing by the NHL this year.  Between all the hype on HBO with 24/7 (which i absolutely loved) and the actual winter classic, to supreme coverage on VS, I almost feel like NHL is making a big comeback.

On a side note, locally speaking, if anyone wants a cheap fun nostalgic time, I really suggest going to a CT Whale game.  Went in the beginning of this month, and I had a complete blast.

Me too.

Everything from the editing to the music selection to the voice over by Liev Schreiber to Sidney Crosby\'s ugly moustache to my personal fav--the swearing of Capitals Coach Bruce Boudreau....it was phenomenal.

I would almost like a behind the scenes playoff edition.
