Musically speaking, Blind Faith couldn\'t hold a candle to these guys.

Man I miss the 2 set shows big time.

Sorry, but Tim is no Clapton and Stoops is no Winwood.  They\'ve got talent, but one things these guys could do is sing....

I would say the ultimate super-group performed one show in \'73 - Eric Clapton and the Palpitations:

Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, Ronnie Wood, Rich Grech, Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Jimmy Karstein, Rebop Kwaku Baah

I\'m not knocking these guys, but selling out a bar in CT where 3 members live and have a following isn\'t exactly stardom...   Sell out a couple shows on the West Coast and I\'ll take back all my statements...

So you\'re telling me that if you got members of TB, Max Creek and Hubinger Street together and they sold out 5 shows at Sully\'s, you\'d call that a super group?  3 bands with the same target audience and the same general location for a fanbase?

And Steve, you know that I don\'t care if I\'m ignored, I express my opinions regardless... There\'s just a lot of people on this site with Timmy and Adrian tinted sunglasses that can\'t see anything else besides what these see with the glasses on...

You\'re out of touch with the Fu, Yoda!
The Fu is spreading their wings beyond the Ct scene.
Wherever they play the crowd goes wild.
Including Club owners, sound guys and other bands in the room!
People are hungry for what Kung Fu has to offer.
Go feed the people Kung Fu!!!

from wiki.......Monsters of Folk is an American supergroup, consisting of Jim James from My Morning Jacket, Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis from Bright Eyes and M. Ward. The band was formed in 2004 when the members were on tour with their respective bands and solo projects. After playing together both on-stage and backstage, they started working together on various material.

Now I LOVE Bright Eyes but genre-wise.....the above mentioned all share a similar fan base, though not a geographic location. But throw Tim from Cursive in there and the location argument would be moot.

Kung Fu may not be a SUPERGROUP that jives with your standards but to most of the folks that go to shows....they\'re a SUPER GROUP.
I\'m gonna break the speed of sound with my silver bullet!!

I enjoy the fu, but can\'t completely give in because I need a good dose of vocals, not just instrumental...

Oh yeah, this is a Breakfast Toad\'s show thread. Sorry guys, enough Fu here!
Toad\'s always lines up bands, because every band will bring their own crowd.
The Breakfast should get 1hr45min set in. Not to shabby!

First off Ryan, there has been so much change in the entertainment business, let alone the music business (not to mention who is consuming all the music and the world in which its created) in the past 40 years that it is just not fair to compare the likes of clapton  and palmieri or winwood and stoops or baker and tramantano.....the frame of reference is so skewed, shit doesnt match up in any way.........in my opinion.....so any argument in that arena is bunk and pointless......

secondly this site is called thebreakfast.info.  in here the glasses are always going to be tinted hard towards tim, adrian, jordan, the doozer and save........for life!!!
